Display problems My Sony Bravia lasted 18 months before it started blacking out and needed to be turned off and back on in order to reset the picture.Sony 'offered' to replace their faulty TV with a 'refurbished' model for $600 + tax.I don't think so try other brands you won't get much sympathy from 'Sony customer support'.Disappointed that I paid $1200 and only got 18 months of use out of it in fact I'm still paying on it for another 6 months.
Sony BRAVIA KDL60EX720 Great TV.. I love that it will sync with my Sony surround sound system. Now I only need the one remote to control both the TV and the Sony surround sound system. The Sony remote does take some getting use to . Having the volume and channel changer at the bottom of the remote is different than my previous remote I've been trying out the new TV for the last 3 weeksso far IT IS GREAT.
Please check out these reviews before you consider this tv. []Well if you want a piece of crap and frustration beyond you imagination then by all means purchase this TV. I was sold this TV from SONY as part of the settlement on the older 60 Bravia that had the lawsuit against them and low and behold another piece of crap. The 3D is absolutely horrible. It is so bad you really can't watch a 3D movie on it without either getting a headache or just sick to your stomach. And of course I have been battling customer support technical support and anyone I can get in touch with Sony for 4 months now. Their explainiation is the TV you purchased we sold you is a low end 3D tv and the 3D performance falls within the specifications of the design. Sorry there is nothing more we can do.PleaseDO NOT buy this TV if you ever plan on using the 3D function.
Broke after 15 months I bought a slightly different Sony 60 inch model but just wanted to go on record saying what a lousy TV it has been and worse Sony's customer service was terrible. At 4 months old it started flickering which I reported to Sony but then it stopped. At 15 months the flickering returned and Sony said it would be $4200 to repair what a joke as that is twice what I paid. I think Sony should have done something as it was only 3 months out of warranty and I had reported the issue earlier. So now I have a unusable TV less than 2 years oled. Their customer service was rude and unhelpful. I'll never buy another Sony consumer electric product again which is on top of my PS3 recently crashing but thank God it was under warranty.

Very good TV monitor but everything else is just clumsy If you are using the TV to watch shows from the cable box this is very good. Super clear picture quality too!But anything beyond that you will be disappointed.I have home theater set up with my 10 year old Marantz receiver + Martin Logan speakers & 12 subwoofer. But this TV does not have RCA audio out only optical. As Wii and Playstation 3 does not have RCA cable either I cannot do game with great sound effect at all. Netflix Youtube cannot be heard with good sound either..I also recently joined netflix but the menu and navigation is incredibly stupid & complicated even compared to Playstation 3. The graphic of the shows i.e. movie poster are too small so I cannot read the title from them.

Sony Bravia KDL60EX720 60 inch 3D LED TV this is very nice TV. Only problem is viewing emails on the screen very small fonts. zoom it and then read it. secondly 3D glasses is very expensive. if we have 4 people in the house we have to buy 4 glasses and costs around $400. Glasses must be included when purchase TV. it should not be separate buying.
Some bad traits. The price is way too high for what you get. The onscreen menus are difficult to read. The remote is cumbersome almost 9 inches long. Worst of all it has an extremely loud DING when you turn the set on. And worst of worst the sound is just about awful it wobbles conversation at high is OK THEN explosions knock the cat off the coffee table it's just mediocre over priced for what you get. Oh did I forget shifting? Stationary objects shift just a smidge back and forth.

1 Year and absolutely no problems. I bought this TV/Monitor a year ago. Bought it to replace my old 2nd monitor and use it for the Wii.
Great quality great price. The picture quality is the best you are going to get for any tv with like specs. It isn't going to compare to 240hz LED LCDs but then again thats like comparing apples to oranges.This TV will perform exactly like any other well built Sony or Samsung 60hz backlit LCD if not better.The contrast ratio was my big turn on for this set. The blacks are trully black and the cotrast from light to dark is crisp and smooth. Color fades are smooth aswell so you dont get to much of that blocke pixelated look. I had this set for 6 months now without a problem. I run ps3 games and blueray movies on it for several hours a day and it handles pc perfectly aswell. I do not like the Dynalight feature. It doesnt work smoothly in my opinion giving it a slow flicker of dim to bright. This is easily turned off though.I have surround hooked up to it but the few times i've used the sets speakers its seemed fine. Having both AV and digital out ports on it is a nice addition.Native picture setting is wonderful for 1080 hdmi devices like ps3. It displays 100% of the picture. Also if you watch SD programing through the same device such as netflix instant and change the picture size to full it will remember the next time you access sd programming in 43 ratio and change automaticly.At the price of which this can be bought there is no better deal. Its built sturdy and I'm confident it will run without problem for awhile.

Cant beat it for the price We have had this unit for about 7 months now and i wish i had bought 2 as it is now unavailable. For a 32 full 1080p TV I dont think you can beat it. The game mode works flawlessly and a nice plus for my household it interfaces nicely with our HDDVD players. The sound is actually better than expected for a unit of this size and the 3 HDMI ports is a huge plus.
VERY PLEASED!!!!! I needed a TV that was small enough for the bedroom and useable for gaming. The Xbox360 is excellent and cable TV looks very good. the various aspect options work well for the 43 aspect to expand to full screen. The sound is plenty loud enough for a 10 x 10 room. I looked at alot of HDTV's most of the ratings on this one were 4's and 5's. Now I see why.
Perfect for my needs I needed a tv for our bedroom and after a lot of shopping and reading reviews I decided on this one. It is not top of the line but for the price range it fits into it is a nice tv. I have not had any issues with it. The sound has been more than sufficient for my needs. It has not been crackly for me. I really like the picture. I was quite surprised at how crisp it is for an LCD. It has plenty of connections also. I have it connected to Dish Network and a Blu ray player. The only issue that I have had is I have to use the tvs remote for some of the features because my Dish remote and my universal learning remote won't work for all the features I use. The one I use the most that I need the tv remote for is the sleep function so if you only use the basic functions this would not be an issue for you. I would not put it in a big room but it works well even at a 1214 foot range. I have nerve damage in one of my ears that causes my hearing to fluctuate. It can be super sensitive one day and all but def the next. My husband and I have not had any volume arguments since we got this tv.
I'm very happy with this TV While not the biggest nor the most expensive I searched all over the internet and found this to be the best deal I could get. I'm happy with everything about this television and quite happy I purchased it. Picture quality is great no set up issues other than not having an HDMI cable that I neglected to purchase and I just love it. Very very happy with it. I will add that IMO anyone purchasing a HD TV should look into a multi year warranty. It pays to protect your purchase.
Good TV overall We have had this TV for a few months now and it is our first flatscreen. The only major complaint we have is that the sound is not loud enough. We have had the TV turned up all the way on numerous occasions and still can't hear well with other noises in the background. The highest level of volume on this TV would have probably been midlevel for our previous TVs. Another problem we have run into is that when going to change channels the TV will freeze sometimes and the picture will slowly fade out and the TV has to be turned off and then back on again. We got the TV for a great price compared to other sets so even with these problems we still feel like it was a good purchase.
Awesome monitor for my computer. Bought it as an upgrade from my 22 dual monitor system. At first I set this thing up as primary and one of my 22 as secondary but I ended up always just using this 32 TV and keeping the other monitor off.The picture quality at 1080p is not quite as good as my 22 monitors were at 1680x1050 some images/colors look a little jpegish for some reason. After playing with the inputs and reseating the HDMI cable it seems to be just about perfect but not quite. For all I know the problem is with my HDMIDVI cable it's not exactly the highestquality stuff.Overall this thing is AWESOME for just about anything watching videos Hulu games Mass Effect 2 Dragon Age Dead Space etc. documents easily 2 fullpage sidebyside web browsing/research once again 2 sidebyside and videoediting. But those intending to use it for more nitpicky stuff like high quality photo editing who need very correct color representation may want to consider something of higher quality maybe also higher quality HDMI cable. Average/basic photoshop users should be just fine with this though.
A good option at fair price I have a good impression of this product I received a very good offer when I bought this tv it was an excellent opportunity to change my old tv for a new one that provides the 1080p resolution.The picture quality is quite good besides it adjusts automatically to the signal received and it lets you to configure yours preferences it is easy to use.The tv fits the latest consoles quite good despiting the tv works at 60Hz the image resolution displayed at 1080p looks great.So far I didnt find any issues with the HDTV just the sounds quaility which is a little difficult to figure out how to get the higher performance of the audio in TV.

after one year of service This HDTV was received on Schedule and installed by the delivery people. They made sure it was up and running.Overall I score this TV a 4 with a stunning picture. There are some things that could be improved like anything. The most bothersome thing is the lack of a unified remote control and the means to access the apps via the remote. Secondly the installation of the wireless adapter was easier on the BD5500 Blue Ray player that was part of the bundle than it was on the TV so I've left it configured that way.Setting the audio and video controls was easy. The black levels are a bit trickier.Service wise I've experienced the sudden loss of picture & sound and will be scheduling warranty service to correct that issue.
Best LED TV I recently purchased this LED tv and all my family is more than happy whith the queality of this TV the posibility to access pandora facebook youtube make it perfect for us. I am just looking foward to get a good receciver to improve the audio quality wich by the way is not that bad.
Awesome Picture I was researching TV's for about 6 months. I finally decided on my Samsung 46C6500. Wow I couldn't have made a better choice! This TV is soooooo clear it's amazing. I purchased it for my basement entertainment area and it's perfect. With my surround sound speakers it's like being at the movies. In my opinion Samsung makes the BEST TV's.After I purchased it through Amazon and it showed up at my home in TWO days! I continued to check the price online 12 days after my purchase it had dropped another $100.00. I contacted Amazon and they said they would credit me for the $100.00 no problem..quick and easy.Better customer service than I've seen in years!I didn't have to worry about how I would get a 46 tv home and the price was better than I could find at any store within a 20 mile radius of my home.
fantastic image! Second screen for the home. Easy to setup. Chose to connect via hdmi through a Denon AVR receiver. Phenomenal image quality. Good viewing from offcenter. Slim and lightweight. Now have 3 Samsungs throughout the house all are brilliant. Would buy again.
Samsung 46 LED TV We did a considerable amount of research and viewingbefore purchasing this TV. I was particularly impressed by user comments regarding the easy to set up nature of this model. However I was still skeptical as we have satellite TV and I was certain there would be some gremlins.Much to my delight it was a true plug & play process. The HDMI cables provided an easy hookup and we have been enjoying the BEST and clearest images we have ever seen.This TV is amazing and well worth the price!!Probably will not use the wireless feature but definitely like the PC input iPhone and overall sleek design. Some users have noted that the sound quality requires a sound bar/ home theater addition but we have been very pleased with the sound.I would definitely recommend this TV to all my friends.
Beware of the power supply boards The Achilles heal of LCD series of this television was the power supply board. It only lasted for onetwo years before it would have to be replaced. Replacement boards are now hard to find because this was such a big problem. Samsung chose to look the other way in the hops that people would just buy a newer model. Hopefully the LED sets have a different power board.

Love my TV! I have had this TV for a couple of months now and I absolutely LOVE it. The picture is amazing and I have no problems when I am watching HD channels. Sometimes on a couple of channels that are not HD I do have some lines at the very top of the screen but not in the picture. It's always on the same 2 channels so I'm not so sure it's the TV and not the cable. The sound is great when watching TV but we also purchased the recommended blu ray player and need to double the volume when watching a DVDalso not a problem with the TV. Playing with all of the settings was a little much I think it's almost too customizable. We stuck with the defaults on most things. A couple of issues we have had are there is only one set of plugs on the back for a component meaning our Wii. We had to get a blu ray immediately because it uses an HDMI cable which our DVD player doesn't. It has plenty of HDMI inputs though.
Brilliantly built tv with stunning picture quality I bought this tv bundled with the blu ray player and wireless dongle in 2010 and have had ~1 year using it now. I've grown up with mainly using only Sony TVs.ProsThe Samsung UN46C6500 46Inch 120 Hz 1080p LED HDTV Black is absolutely stunning to look at. The picture quality is amazing displaying any type of content. The build of the machine is very solid as well and being roughly an inch thick it is one sexy sleek machine.ConsComing from an entire life of viewing Sony TVs i've expected to see similar features that were lacking on this Samsung TV. The remote control feels cheaper lighter and more plastic'y than any of my prior Sony remote controls. However the remote control is clear and intuitive to use. The Samsung UN46C6500 also doesnt have an ability like the Sony TVs that allow you to split the screen on two different inputs side by side. It does have the ability to split the screen picture in picture between the tv coax and one other input only. One last shortfall is the limited number of inputs available.
Poor Panel I bought mine last March 22 2011. It was great at first as it was my first led tv.Came june 9 2011. I started seeing vertical thin lines while watching on it. It made a flickering thin lines in the middle of the tv while i was on netflix. I tried on cable and xbox the thin lines were still there. So i called samsung and they were pretty helpfulmand set me up with a tv tech right away who came in my house within 2 days. The tv tech told me its a bad panel so he had to take it apart and replace it with a new one. If u buy this tv make sure u purchase a extended warranty coz it is beautiful indeed but i yjinkniy doesnt have the greatest panel/led out there. Next purchase would definitely Toshiba. Pricier but is definitely more quality.aLso i wasnt even abusing the tv i would make sure its turned off after 7 or 8 hrs after using it.So buyer beware.

A Good Quality LED TV Upfront I will say that I won this TV in a contest run on NBA dotcom. I was shocked to say the least about winning something like this. Without a doubt this was a serious upgrade to my older 32 LCD in my living room.The unit itself is pretty thin but is not necessarily light. It is quite sturdily constructed and sits very nicely on its short pedestal. The overall design is very nice. The finish is a highgloss black which I love though it does take more cleaning as dust which always seems to show up at any and all times of the year can gather fairly quickly. Other than the dusting I have nothing but praise for the design and quality of construction.The 1080p is fantastic. It is a very high picture quality to be sure. Movies and TV shows are exceptional. I am not a gamer so no XBox or PS3 hooked up. Other reviews will have to be read for those specs. The sound is just adequate as with most TVs possibly a little better than many except for much more expensive units. Most low to midrange priced units that I have heard are subpar with either the bass or treble or both. That said I do have my DVD surround sound system hooked up and the combination of the picture quality with surround sound is unbeatable especially with intense highaction flicks.There are some reviews regarding issues with color. Fortunately for me I have not had to deal with any of that.

Great Buy I was debating to get this tv being that it was not brand name. After some looking around price comparison i picked it up at American Tv/electronics for $488.00. I am so pleased with this tv. Great picture and sound quality. For the price you cannot find a better deal on a LED tv in the market. I would highly suggest this item to friends/family. Buy it at your own risk I had purchased this TV at a very good price ~$450. The picture quality was awesome though the sound quality was far from optimal. All went well for almost 3 months and soon a red vertical line appeared on the screen. Called up Haier customer service and their service was the worst. Intially they made me go through a third party vendor who had no idea of what the problem was. After a week's deliberation they expressed their inability to fix the problem and I was asked to contact Haier. I ended up calling Haier multiple times and this time they wanted me to cut the power cord and send it to them. I was told that upon investigating the power cord the main location will send another TV to me. Who in the world will ask to cut a power cord? When I tried to question the same the customer rep was so rude. They have no empathy towards their customers. After more than 5 calls I ended up returning the unit to orignal seller overstock.com who issued a full refund.
Great TV This is a great TV especially if you could get it as cheap as me and several other reviewers found it for under $500! I've mostly used it plugged into a computer via the VGA cable and the picture looks beautiful. The picture of the inputs on the amazon page isn't correct at all. The inputs are all aligned horizontally to the TV aligned with the TV's left side and bottom around a corner so that the cables won't stick into the wall if you're trying to mount it flush to something. Although the power cable sticking straight out the back of the TV sort of defeats this purpose it doesn't stick out much so it's ok.Only real problem I've had with this TV is getting the USB Time Shift feature to work properly. I've inserted a USB drive it recognizes it and formats it but then it doesn't use it. Only time it seems to respond at all is when watching cable not anything else and pressing the pause button it looks like it tries to work by the screen going blank for a few seconds but then nothing happens. Seeing as this was an advertised feature that doesn't appear to work I'm marking off one star. If it does work but only under certain obscure circumstances the least they could do is provide better documentation for it.

Haier 40 LED HDTV I cannot say enough good things about this TV purchase! It's slim but Very sturdy and stable on the stand! The picture quality is AMAZINGand with my Blu Ray player the fast refresh rate 120 Hzalong with full 1080 makes watching movies an amazing visual experience the best I have ever seen at home! The sound is good with many different adjustments you can make but the Bass is limited. I plan on looking for a Bass speaker stick because of all the HDTV's I've researched this one has the most inputs available! 4 HDMIs digital audio the 3 plug 2wh 1 redinput coax and USB which you can download videos from your pc on a flash drive and play on this TV! and others.
Some good some bad I originally purchased this TV at a steep discount and was very happy with the price for the technology I was receiving. The main reason for the purchase was Xbox 360 gaming Netflix and ESPN streaming. The TV performed just fine with Netflix and ESPN with great picture quality. However when gaming the input lag was at 170ms which is unbearable for any gamer. Usually input lag can be remedied with a game mode but even though this television is advertised as having such a mode online and in the manual it does NOT exist. Therefore you are stuck with this input lag that makes games unplayable.Given these circumstances the TV was useless to me because gaming is the majority of my television use. For someone who just watches television in movies this is a perfectly fine tv at a budget price. You should also note though that the speakers are abysmal and you will need a soundbox or additional speakers. Additionally I noticed motion blur in high action sequences in movies and sports.All in all I would not recommend the TV based on my experience but it could be satisfactory at the right price if you are only interested in TV and movies.

Great LED HDTV The HDTV was the best present for the family. Very clear picture and sound is great. I have never bought a TV thru the mail before and I am very happy that we did. We looked at other stores and other web sites but amazon was the best priced. I have bought books movies clothing etc. thru amazon and will continue to purchase items thru them.

Great TV for the Price Great little TV for our bedroom! The sound is plenty loud I tried it with the big Tv fan and a/c running and could hear it just fine. The picture is great and I mounted it on a swivel mount. I will say the sound quality is not as nice as a larger TV but that is to be expected.
Great for what I needed. I have a small amount of space in my room that I could use for my tv the old one I had for about 12 years it wasn't a samsung but it worked great up until recentlyit had a built in vhs player.it tried to eat the tapes and it refused to pick up any channels or even connect to my 360 within the last few months. So I decided to find a new tv.I wanted something that would fit in the space I had about 24 inches were available and it had to have a good picture since I would use it for gaming as well has being with in my budget. Looked around at all the stores in my area and nothing really fit the bill. So I came here to look around found a few others that looked like they would work but this is the one that I liked best.It came quickly and I had it set upalmost completly after opening it. The only thing that I didn't know about was that it had a built in scanner or whatever it's called that allows you to pick up the channels if you don't have cable or satlilite. I had a converter box before and so I had it set up with the box and the TV wouldn't pick up any channels. My dad is the one that figured out that I didn't need the box and now I get more channels that I didn't before with my old tv and the box. Frustrated TV's We had a ViewSonics 15 TV. We use this TV in the Kitchen. The tuner was so bad we had a hard time loading Channels 7 and 10 via antenna. Replacing it with the Samsung was like heaven. It always works. I believe it has a stronger tuner! We're believers in Samsung products. In addition to this 19 wonder We have a 55 that is wonderful.

Disappointed I was getting this monitor for home after we had gotten large monitors at work and realized how nice they were. This has been a horrible experience from the word go. The cables they sent with the monitor are not compatible with anything laptop desktop nada. I have yet to see anything on my 19 inch screen but check video monitor. HP technical support had me purchase 2 incorrect replacement cables to get this to attach to my laptop as an additional monitor.

Cobyv surprise. I bought my Coby at a local store after my 37 inch LG gave up the ghost after four 4 years and about a month after my extended warranty expired. I've purchased Coby headphones one pair sounded great but didn't last long but what can you expect for $2.00 from Amazon but never any other Coby items. The 40 inch Coby has a beautiful clear picture. Although I play it through a dedicated sound system the sound is good through the TV speakers. So far so good I'll see how long it last. I bought the five year extended warranty just to be on the safe side. I hope and pray it last longer the LG a brand I will never buy again.
Pleasant TV for the price I normally don't review items however since there are almost nil out there on this tv I wanted to voice my opinion. This tv rocks. I had been waiting to purchase a Vizio 42 model and saw this Coby at Shopko. It was on sale for an incredible price of just $399.99. I watched it for a bit and was appreciative of the picture quality even tho it was only hooked to 720. I knew once it was at 1080 it would improve. They were out and I got the raincheck and waited a week to get it home. The sound at first was tinny but the surround was off and once I turned that on It was much better however needs improvement so the 4 star rating.
Don't Waste your money We gave this TV as a Christmas gift in 2010. It stopped working this month so just over a year of use. NFM only helps out w/in 30 days of purchase. Manufacturer was worse. Called on a Thursday spoke to someone & they were having someone call back. Waited until MONDAY still no call back. Had to call 3x because of being cut off. Then finally got to speak to a live person. Basically told to unplug TV & plug back in if still does not work take to be repaired. No authorized repair centers. No warranty either. Do not waste your hardearned money on something that lasts only a year.
Problems since we got it. This tv was bought for Christmas in 2010. It worked for a couple of months but then every once in awhile the tv just doesn't want to turn on. Called customer support and it no longer exists. You have to email them. I've emailed but received no answer. I'll never buy another coby again.
TV had problem after 6 hrs of use over 2 days also this is a 720p LCD TV not 1080p Bought this TV new from Fry's on 5/29/11. Used it that night for a couple of hours. Then watched TV again next day. On the 3rd day the remote nor the TV pwoer switch would not work had to turn the surge protector off then on again now remote was able to turn the tv on. Watched TV and channel surfed for about 30 min now gets to a channel with sound but no image black screen. Unable to turn off TV using remote nor TV button. Had to turn off surge protector again and on works now. I purchased a 3 year Squaretrade warranty for $30. I hope I don't need it but the cost including the 3 year warranty is less than any other TV in this size. It seems like this is a product that many people have great success with while others have a dead TV in 100 days. I hope that it lasts but if not squaretrade 3 year warranty is like gold! In home service for a TV this size and repair or replacement with no deductible. Picture is clear remote is good. Sound not as good but I was not planning on using the TV speakers. I use the speakers in my stereo system.

satisfaction OK Only had this TV for one month and so far so good. On high definition stations it has beautiful color and resolution. I have cable hookup. On the standard digital stations I feel the definition leaves a lot to be desired. I have two other sets which are only 19 units and 720 dpi but they get very good color and def. on all channels. For $304.00 shipping included this Coby 40 TV is a great buy and my wallet is rather low on the green or I would have spent two C notes more and got a Samsung but since the majority of the stations I watch do come in HD I am very satisfied. As almost everyone else has mentioned the audio is weak and will not put out much volume. Also there is only a RCA type audio output for external speakers I was not happy with that but I bought a $60 RCA 51 surround system and used audio/video cables from the cable converter box and another set of cables from the BluRay to the Sub woofer where all the controls are. and now I have plenty of volume. By the way RCA's mickey mouse remote is a joke it does function OK but its so small it gets lost so easy. So unless something goes wrong when the warranty is done I am very pleased with this Coby flat screen for the price its a great deal.
Cheap TV expensive lesson. I purchased the TV at the very end of December and as of today June 20th the picture has died. The power indicator still flashes when I hit the remote but the screen remains dark indicating that the LCD panel has failed. It's a goner.A cursory Google search reveals that this company will either quote you a ridiculous price for outofwarranty repairs warranty is only 90 days or simply give you the run around until it becomes more of a hassle than it's worth. You could probably hire a lawyer to force the issue but a decent one will cost you $300 an hour. You can do the math.I suspect this company makes money by assembling a barebones product which is designed only to last through the warranty period. Once the 90 days are up you're stuck with whatever you've got.In retrospect I very much wish that I had paid the extra $150 for a Toshiba/LG/Samsung or had even opted for a similarly priced 32 inch TV from a reliable brand. I'd much rather have a smaller TV that's still working today than be stuck with this large piece of plastic that is essentially trash now.I've learned my lesson and will never purchase anything from this company again.
Pretty good deal. Would buy again. I just got mine yesterday and so far it's been pretty good. I use it for a monitor and for console gaming. I have a couple issues that prevent me from giving it a 5 star review though.Pros1 Picture quality is great. I watched a couple game trailers in 1080p and it was amazing2 Really easy to set up. The most difficult part was cleaning off a spot on my desk for it3 Lots of inputs. 3 HDMI 1 component 1 AV 1 coax and 1 VGACons1 The sound quality is horrible2 When playing a game where it's dark it's too dark and turning up the brightness doesn't seem to help as much as it should.3 For PC input it only has VGA no DVI ports. You could use HDMI if you wanted to but no DVI.Overall I don't regret purchasing it.
Can't complain I was skeptical about this TV because of the brand but after receiving it all of that went out the window. Its bright but not enough to blind you and it has enough ports in the back to attach practically whatever you'd like. The USB port is useless and I would have liked it to have some sort of capability. Otherwise the TV was easy to set up and it hasn't blew out on me or faded its colors and I couldn't be more satisfied.
Bought as a gift better than expected Was a little worried after some reviews questioned the quality. Bought it as a gift I wanted to get a TCL we have one ourselves and I can't say enough positive things about their product it's fantastic but it wasn't available.The picture quality is good. The product works was easy to setup. Six weeks in it's working well still. The base isn't super heavy. The bezel is plastic and looks like it. The onscreen menu isn't beautiful like on an LG but for $329 it's not bad at all. It doesn't have the most connectors but if you need that you probably aren't buying discount TV's.Ultimately it works it's reliable so far so it's a great value.
Sound Is Terrible DONOTBUY My First 40inch TV!! I was so ecstatic go a TV past 32inches within my budget HA!!!! I'm so wrong. Picture was mediocre and the sound is so low. I cant take my TV back because its past the 30days even though I am just opening up the box. I plan on buying a Home Theater system to help with the sound. I guess this brand is a hit or miss seeing that some people had no problems with the sound on this model but I will never buy a COBY anything again. I was shocked to learn that the sound was so low. I will stick to the brands I know from now on even if that means spending more than my wallet can handle. DONOT BUYTHISTV.
