  • 1 Year and absolutely no problems. I bought this TV/Monitor a year ago. Bought it to replace my old 2nd monitor and use it for the Wii.
Great quality great price. The picture quality is the best you are going to get for any tv with like specs. It isn't going to compare to 240hz LED LCDs but then again thats like comparing apples to oranges. This TV will perform exactly like any other well built Sony or Samsung 60hz backlit LCD if not better. The contrast ratio was my big turn on for this set. The blacks are trully black and the cotrast from light to dark is crisp and smooth. Color fades are smooth aswell so you dont get to much of that blocke pixelated look. I had this set for 6 months now without a problem. I run ps3 games and blueray movies on it for several hours a day and it handles pc perfectly aswell. I do not like the Dynalight feature. It doesnt work smoothly in my opinion giving it a slow flicker of dim to bright. This is easily turned off though.I have surround hooked up to it but the few times i've used the sets speakers its seemed fine. Having both AV and digital out ports on it is a nice addition.Native picture setting is wonderful for 1080 hdmi devices like ps3. It displays 100% of the picture. Also if you watch SD programing through the same device such as netflix instant and change the picture size to full it will remember the next time you access sd programming in 43 ratio and change automaticly. At the price of which this can be bought there is no better deal. Its built sturdy and I'm confident it will run without problem for awhile.
GOOD PRICE GOOD PRODUCT This TV Was worth for its cost. The Picture quality is too good but the sound effect is not up to the mark. If u have a Home theater this would be amazingGood one..
Cant beat it for the price We have had this unit for about 7 months now and i wish i had bought 2 as it is now unavailable. For a 32 full 1080p TV I dont think you can beat it. The game mode works flawlessly and a nice plus for my household it interfaces nicely with our HDDVD players. The sound is actually better than expected for a unit of this size and the 3 HDMI ports is a huge plus.
VERY PLEASED!!!!! I needed a TV that was small enough for the bedroom and useable for gaming. The Xbox360 is excellent and cable TV looks very good. the various aspect options work well for the 43 aspect to expand to full screen. The sound is plenty loud enough for a 10 x 10 room. I looked at alot of HDTV's most of the ratings on this one were 4's and 5's. Now I see why.
Perfect for my needs I needed a tv for our bedroom and after a lot of shopping and reading reviews I decided on this one. It is not top of the line but for the price range it fits into it is a nice tv. I have not had any issues with it. The sound has been more than sufficient for my needs. It has not been crackly for me. I really like the picture. I was quite surprised at how crisp it is for an LCD. It has plenty of connections also. I have it connected to Dish Network and a Blu ray player. The only issue that I have had is I have to use the tvs remote for some of the features because my Dish remote and my universal learning remote won't work for all the features I use. The one I use the most that I need the tv remote for is the sleep function so if you only use the basic functions this would not be an issue for you. I would not put it in a big room but it works well even at a 1214 foot range. I have nerve damage in one of my ears that causes my hearing to fluctuate. It can be super sensitive one day and all but def the next. My husband and I have not had any volume arguments since we got this tv.
I'm very happy with this TV While not the biggest nor the most expensive I searched all over the internet and found this to be the best deal I could get. I'm happy with everything about this television and quite happy I purchased it. Picture quality is great no set up issues other than not having an HDMI cable that I neglected to purchase and I just love it. Very very happy with it. I will add that IMO anyone purchasing a HD TV should look into a multi year warranty. It pays to protect your purchase.
Good TV overall We have had this TV for a few months now and it is our first flatscreen. The only major complaint we have is that the sound is not loud enough. We have had the TV turned up all the way on numerous occasions and still can't hear well with other noises in the background. The highest level of volume on this TV would have probably been midlevel for our previous TVs. Another problem we have run into is that when going to change channels the TV will freeze sometimes and the picture will slowly fade out and the TV has to be turned off and then back on again. We got the TV for a great price compared to other sets so even with these problems we still feel like it was a good purchase.
Awesome monitor for my computer. Bought it as an upgrade from my 22 dual monitor system. At first I set this thing up as primary and one of my 22 as secondary but I ended up always just using this 32 TV and keeping the other monitor off.The picture quality at 1080p is not quite as good as my 22 monitors were at 1680x1050 some images/colors look a little jpegish for some reason. After playing with the inputs and reseating the HDMI cable it seems to be just about perfect but not quite. For all I know the problem is with my HDMIDVI cable it's not exactly the highestquality stuff.Overall this thing is AWESOME for just about anything watching videos Hulu games Mass Effect 2 Dragon Age Dead Space etc. documents easily 2 fullpage sidebyside web browsing/research once again 2 sidebyside and videoediting. But those intending to use it for more nitpicky stuff like high quality photo editing who need very correct color representation may want to consider something of higher quality maybe also higher quality HDMI cable. Average/basic photoshop users should be just fine with this though.
A good option at fair price I have a good impression of this product I received a very good offer when I bought this tv it was an excellent opportunity to change my old tv for a new one that provides the 1080p resolution. The picture quality is quite good besides it adjusts automatically to the signal received and it lets you to configure yours preferences it is easy to use.The tv fits the latest consoles quite good despiting the tv works at 60Hz the image resolution displayed at 1080p looks great. So far I didnt find any issues with the HDTV just the sounds quaility which is a little difficult to figure out how to get the higher performance of the audio in TV.

  • Perfect size and Great Picture Recently bought this for my son's Birthday. It was easy to set up and the Qaulity of the picture was great. Perfect size for his apartment.
Remote Problem for Directv Subscribers I would have given t his a 5 star rating but as a Directv subscriber I am forced to use 2 different remotes at the same time. I must use the Philips remote a cheap little black plastic device impossible to use without light & reading glasses to turn on & off & for volume control. Directv claims it is Philips fault for not supplying remote control codes for switching these functions to their single remote control while Philips claims they have supplied Directv with the infared signals their engineers need to generate codes. A second call to Directv got me to a tech who tried to be helpful but none of the codes he had worked. It is extremely annoying to have to use 2 different remotes especially since the Philips remote is terribly susceptible to kitty paws which continually muck with the settings. At this point is is unclear whether the fault lies with Philips or Directv but the result is that I find myself constantly reaching for a different remote especially when a loud commercial intrudes & my settings are continually getting jammed by wandering cats who are just trying to get comfy beside me. This is not a problem unique to Philips as my primary tv also requires 2 remotes & although a different brand Directv has yet to be able to give me a code that works to convert me to a onehanded remote user.
Really like this Television After reading several reviews we bought this model for an elderly couple we love for a gift. They didn't want a large T.V. in their living room and this one was perfect. They really enjoy it. We were pleasantly surprised by the ease of setup and the easy to use interface. The colors are bright and the screen is crisp even though they are watching SD most of the time they are able to get many HD channels. they have basic cable. We liked it so much we just bought one for a guest bedroom. Got ours at Sams with a 90 day return. Got some great prices. under $300 delivered.Hard to believe that we paid almost $700 for a 32 inch 720p Samsung 3 years ago and that was a good price at the time it was even more at BB. This Philips is a great value so why pay the extra money? Wow have the prices gone down so shop around.
Great for watching Television but maybe not so much for other things When I started looking for a flatscreen TV to replace my old CTR there were a few things that I had in mind. Firstly I wanted to be able to use the television as a secodary/primary monitor for my laptop. Secondly I wanted to be able to play xbox games in wonderful HD. Watching television was actually more of a side note in my case. Unfortunately both of my goals were problematic. In regards to using the television as a second monitor there is no VGA input. The options are either svideo or HDMI. I wasn't aware that many computers have HDMI outputs like the description seems to indicate and the svideo option has a much too low resolution to be used practically. As for playing xbox games the television itself has a noticeable display lag. Many televisions come with an option that can eliminate this by turning the tv to game mode or reducing the extra effects which cause the lag. Unfortunately this tv has neither of those options. In the end the television basically was not the right one for what I was trying to do and if there are other's trying to do the same thing then you should take notice. I can't really comment on how well it works for actually watching television but after flipping through a few channels and whatnot it seems to be excellent in that respect. I'm going to try and return the tv and see what happens and try to do a little more research next time I go TV shopping.*updateI was able to return the tv and Amazon gave me my full money's worth back well minus 6 bucks for having UPS come and pick it up for me.
Absolutely Love this TV!!!! I finally upgraded my Panasonic combo TV/VCR for this LCD HDTV. I read many reviews before I finally decided on this television. I also went to a local store to look at the screens and compare their picture quality. The picture was crisp and of high quality compared to the others and the price was much better as well. I didn't get the cheapest in price but the highest level of picture quality with a price that was more in the median level. Totally worth every penny. The sound is amazing as well. I have this tv set up in my bedroom and I think it's the perfect size. If you plan to hook this up to your bluray DVD player or HD ready cable box then you will need to have the HD cable which is an added cost. I love that you can personalize the sound and picture to what you like. It also has game movie and other settings so that you get the perfect picture for what you are watching. I can't say enough about this tv. I have had Panasonic Samsung and a Plasma Sylvania and this is my favorite! Great quality. And many might worry that it's only a 720 instead of a 1080 but for this size it doesn't really matter. It matters when you have a larger tv. Very happy with my purchase! It was the perfect birthday gift from my husband.
stay away from this tv I'll try to make a long story short. I bought this tv in March of 2011. It did not have the picture quality I hoped for but I could live with it. In January of 2012 it got so I would have to turn it on about 15 time before it would stay on. I called customer support at Phillips and had to email them a copy of the receipt because they said it was not in warranty. After a week they decided it was warranty and sent me another tv wich took over 2weeks. Customer service was very nice and easy to deal with. However they sent me a refurbished tv that was all scratched up and had a loud buzz to it. So they told me they were going to send out another tv a new one this time. It is now March 24 and still no tv. I keep calling them and all they will tell me is that my case has been sent to someone at there corp. and I will have to wait until they contact me Ill update if and when this gets resolved. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this tv and Phillips.
Great TV! I bought this for the guest room but we moved our Sony out of the way in our bedroom to check out the Phillips. Other than being smaller it put the Sony to shame. The setup was so simple I thought is that all there is? The picture is clearer brighter and deeper almost than our brand new 46 Samsung in the family room The digital tuner meant no need for the cable box. I will not be hooking up any thing else to it as the sound is adequate for the room and I don't want visitors to move in ha ha. Overall it's a great tv for the expense.
Good value but not a great TV This TV is good for the money but it struggles with dark contrast and fast action sportsas I'm sure all LCDs in this price range would. No regrets I knew I wasn't paying for top quality and this TV serves it's purpose as a second TV.Set up is easy and on screen controls are equally user friendly.
Great buy/ Great tv!! I was blasted away by the price the speed in which it was delivered 2 days!and the functions of this set! I am thoroughly pleased with my new lcd/hdtv. I highly recommend this set and the vendor I purchased it from.
office tv set up was a breeze hooked up the cable for the satellite dish and we were good to go ran the auto channel add and it added about 4 regular channels that come in clear this tv i great for a offic or a bedroom great picture and has very good sound all parts needed for assembly were in the box and was easy to put the base together would recommend this tvi have the 48 one made by the same manufacter and there both great tvs shipping was great and was very quick and no damage to anything not even the outside of the box.

  • I will never by a Coby product again It came broken. I returned it and got a Toshiba for the same price at Best Buy. So you really don't have to buy from a crap manufacturer like Coby to get a cheap TV.
    todo bien
ok for the price If you want cheap you get it. I could not get the sound to go above a whisper using the hdmi cord and had to return it. Great return policy so I agreed to try a second unit. Same problem but at least with this one I can hear my dvd's and streaming netflix through the component cords. Picture is pretty good for a cheap tv. I am still puzzled why the sound is terrible though the hdmi ports. And I checked my blu ray player by attaching it to my other tv and it is fine so it has to be this tv. The sound is ok with the over the air. Just in case you were wondering I did spend quite a few hours on the phone with tech support for both the tv and the blu ray player to see if I could resolve it without returning it.
The right price Wanted to upgrade an old 36 tv. The Colby was on sale at the right price and lower than several other places.
You get what you pay for We bought two for different rooms. Price was $199 at Herbergers. Remote from one of them doesn't work. We were able to program both from the other remote but now looking for universal remote. Also one of the boxes damaged but tv is ok.
good but not without it's problems We have had this TV for a couple of months now. The picture is nice but the audio is a little tinny like other reviewers have stated. The biggest issue we have has been a malfunction with the TV which started about 34 weeks after purchase. About once a week the TV will not turn on and we have to unplug it so it will reset. I have contacted the manufacturer who said this is a common problem. The TV has a 1 year warranty so it is covered for parts and labor if we want to pay to ship it there and send an additional $30 for return shipping. I would choose another set if I could return this one but I'm stuck with it.
Junk Bought this TV and the Volumn button stopped working on the remote so I purchased 3 remotes from Coby and NONE worked. So I went to the side of the TV where the buttons were located. None of thoses worked.
It's ok I've had this TV for a few months. For the price that I paid for it's ok. The picture quality is great but this TV set has a few problems. The volume no matter how high you turn it is barely audible. The controller isn't sensitive at all sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. There is also no audio jack to install portable speakers.
Don't expect much from this one. I received this tv as a gift. I don't really like it but it's ok for a spare room or bedroom if you are not too concerned with picture quality or volume. This tv is absolutely not for those looking for high quality or even middling HD movie or game playing.Pros This tv is a very light flat screen lcd. It can easily be carried around to multiple rooms and has a relatively low profile for sitting on a dresser or desk. It has 3 HDMI and 2 Component for HD sources. The built in tuner works fine for me with an antenna. Depending on your reception and location this can vary.Cons The picture quality is passable. In my eyes the colors are not accurate I see a red push. Blacks are not very deep and combined with a bad viewing angle the picture looks washed out almost everywhere you sit. Movies and games with dark scenes are very hard to watch or play. There are not a lot of options on the set that would help you mitigate any of these problems. The picture is not very sharp. This is especially evident with console gaming. There is lots of blooming and it reminds me of playing on a traditional SD tube tv. Also this set is not 1080p. It my be able to take a 1080p signal and downconvert it to 720p but you are not viewing a true 1080p picture. The volume is incredibly loud. Even on the lowest possible setting this tv will be too loud for discreet viewing if you have spouse or roommate who is trying to sleep.
Terrible sound and color. We purchased this TV before Christmas last year 2010. At first the color was okay but it quickly diminished and is very dark even after adjusting the settings. The sound quality has always been terrible. Even when it is turned up you hear some things but it seems that the background noise think music soundtrack whatever else is going on is always louder than the actual speech and/or actor voices. We are very disappointed with this purchase. We will not buy Coby products again w/o first seeing/testing the product inperson.

  • Great affordable HDTV I ordered this tv about 6 months ago because I wanted a tv to go in my bedroom in my apt. At the time it was on sale for $300 on Amazon so I couldn't resist and I'm glad I got it. I use it for watching movies from my laptop I have it hooked up using HDMI over the air broadcasts most of the channels come in HD and look amazing! and playing my good old gamecube. I shall break this review down into a few categories video quality audio quality ease of use and features.Video QualityThis is a 32 in LCD 720p display television and it honestly looks really good. There are various picture settings that come standard such as Sports movies video game i think? and some others. I don't really remember right now but they basically change the color and brightness settings of the display. You can also do this manually and set it however you personally like and after messing around with it for a short while I got it looking just how I wanted it. Don't waste your money on a 1080i/p 32 in tv at this size their is no noticeable difference in quality and 720p looks great. Again I'm no snob when it comes to TVs but all the movies/shows/games I've watched on this look great.Audio QualityAll I'm going to say is it's good not amazing but if you expect the standard speakers on any tv to blow you away then you're always going to be disappointed.
Good But Not Great Needs Calibration. Don't but this expecting to be blown away by the clarity. This is a midrange and you get what you pay for which was $309 during Black Friday for me. This is a very good TV in HD but if you're watching in SD expect brown looking colors and an ugly picture. The reason I knocked this HDTV down to a 3 stars instead of 5 is because of motion blur. Fast movements blacks on white and around the eyes you'll notice motion blur which can sometimes look like a red looking hue. I can't tell that a firmware update did anything to help. But I have the calibration set where you can now see very little motion blur which is the main reason I'm writing this review. Here are my settingsContrast 100Backlight 80 this will help blacks look darkerDyna Light On this also helps get blacks darkerBrightness 4550 I set mine to 45 anything higher than 50 looks washed outColor 55Tint 0 set it how you like I prefer to leave it at 0Sharpness 12Dynamic Contrast Low the reason I set this to low is because shadows in hair looks more natural but you can set it how you likeStatic Gamma 3 this seems to be the thing that most gets rid of the motion blur and why I set my brightness to 45Temp. CoolB drive 15 most people won't notice a difference hereG drive 15 most people won't notice a difference hereOverall I'm happy with my Toshiba HDTV with the settings I have. The motion blur was so bad that I was disappointed even considering returning but with the calibration settings so far so good. This a great tv for a bedroom or small living room.I also have a PS3 and haven't noticed much motion blur in games it also has a gaming mode.
Really nice tv I'm not an electronics expert but I bought this thing nearly a year ago and have had no problems whatsoever. It's a truly nice tv and the base it comes with is sturdy.I was surprised to find when it arrived that it is widescreen though. Maybe I was sent the wrong kind? Oh well it's still a nice tv either way. Doesn't bother me.
New TV! This television replaced an old regular BIG FAT TV that weighed so much it took two people to place it into our cabinet.
Good TV at a good price I was planning on getting a 26 inch tv but came across this 32 inch Toshiba in an open box sale. I was able to get it for less than a lot of 26 inch televisions and couldn't pass it up! After I confirmed the order I started getting nervous because a lot of people complained about the audio. Unless you expect rich theater sound from your tv don't listen to these people. I was able to adjust the treble and bass to my liking and it sounds just fine. If you want thumping bass and rich sound hook it up to your amp. This tv replaces a 19 inch in our bedroom and we absolutely love it. The picture is clear and what you would expect from a 720p HDTV. Much to my surprise it was even able to tune into the HD channels on my basic cable subscription. My 56 inch doesn't even do that although I did buy it 5 years ago and the standards may have changed since then.If you're looking for a good tv at a bargain price even at full price then consider this one. I think you'll be more than satisfied.
Love My Refurbished Toshiba 32100U 32 LCD HDTV!!!!! A little over a month ago I was still watching television on a 23 year old analog TV hooked up to a government supplied HDTV converter box. Why? Well with all the times I had put the old thing in storage when I was out of town I guess it was I was trying to amortize all the years of storage I'd paid on the beast.Recently I had purchased a nifty Home Theater System a Philips unit which cost more than my 32 Toshiba flat screen!!! from Amazon and now was positively ITCHING to get a large screen flat TV. I virtually slobber at all the stuff there is to buy at Amazon and lo and behold I found this great Toshiba flat screen for under $200!!!! Now it's a refurbished model but that means it has been thoroughly tested and works fine and has essentially the same warranty which allows you to save hundreds. For my old analog TV I paid over $500 USD in 1988 dollars.Love the clarity vibrancy and detail of the picture in broadcast modes it has a kickass tuner that picks up every single station in my area and I live in an urban area surrounded by high rise buildings my old DVDs have revealed detail that I haven't even noticed when I've seen the same film on the big screen on a new 70mm print BluRay is a revelation..totally amazing. Even if you buy one brand new at retail price in the $350$450 range it's money well spent. My only beef is the positioning of the directional arrow controls and ENTER button. Most of the functions it supports are near the top of the remote control and some yahoo at Toshiba Information Systems decided to put it down at the bottom which by the time I get my glasses on and get ready to select the direction I want the cursor to go and then hit ENTER the damn thing has already recycled off the popup screen I wanted to navigate through. Frustrating but I'm getting the hang of it.
Lacks A Small Feature I'm not a technology hound nor do I have the budget for an expensive HDTV. I've had this Toshiba unit since the end of November 2010 and it suits my simple needs. The screen is very clear and the colors are vibrant especially at 1080i yes it does 1080i. The sound can be a little quiet but I don't mind.I have two little complaints about this TV but what can I expect for getting it a tad over $300? The first complaint is that there is no clock/time function at least I can't find it anywhere within the menu or manual. I can't simply press a button to figure out what time it is. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to be able to do this. I guess I'll have to look at my watchThe second complaint is the number of inputs it has on the back. I have to keep plugging/unplugging my DVD player and yes my VCR. Again I'm a technology laggard and my children still love watching the VHS tapes so we haven't ditched the VCR yet. I have yet to purchase an HD DVD player so I haven't really used this TV to its full potential.Allinall I'm happy with this HDTV. If you're looking for an almost barebones entry level HDTV this is a good choice.
Quality Television!! This television has a lot of options and settings!! Great picture and sound quality! Picture is crystal clear and sound is great! It has built in surround sound which is a plus. This hdtv really stands out! A lot of ports and connections so you can hook up anything! Well worth the money.
Tv good menu bad This tv works very well good picture and sound. The big problem is the very annoyingch set up menu. Can't add or delete channels without having to scan all channels.

  • Excellent TV at a great price I bought this TV back in January for my study room and it's been a great performer for the last 8 months. I use it a lot every day I spend 812 hours in my study room and the TV is on almost always. The picture is brilliant and the sound is magnificent. In fact the sound is so good I get complaints from my neighbors that the TV is too loud. I've used the HDMI function watching movies from my computer and it's as simple as possible. I paid a lot more than it's selling for now and I'm extremely happy with the TV. At $250 or so this is a steal. I'm considering buying a second one.

Good while it lasts This TV seems to be a great when you first get it sets up easily great picture then done 3 weeks later. We are on our second Vizio and both ended with the same problem go to power on the TV and it freezes with the Vizio name on the screen. Can't power it off or on with the remote or on TV itself Must unplug. Called customer service followed directions to reboot..TV totally died. This problem happened twice.. each within only having the TVs for a few weeks.
GREAT TV The Vizio 32 lcd tv is a great product. The tv's picture quality is outstanding especially when watching shows on the HD channels. The only problem is the sound fluctuates like all other vizio products. Other than that it is a great purchase for the price.
great picture clarity and excellent sound I love this Vizio tv. The picture and sound are great. I liked it so much that I bought them for my two daughters also.
Refurbished Flat Screen Vizio Great TV for the money! I love the picture and the sound is good. Just as good as a new TV.
Great Great TV! I bought this and had it shipped to my APO here in Iraq. I also bought a second one for my Dad in Florida. They arrived fully boxed and in Brand New condition! I have been using it now for a few months and love it! Great picture great sound and very very well worth the price! I highly recommend this TV! You will not be dissatisfied! I love VIZIO and have had no problems with their TVs in the past. My Dad is super happy with his as this is his first LCD TV. He's 70 LOL.
I will never buy another vizio product I bought this tv in February of 2011 form a local store. It worked fine for about two months and then my HDMI ports quit working. It took me a couple of months to call and get them fixed but it got fixed under warranty in September of 2011 by getting the mother board replaced. Well here I am six months later out of the tv's one year warranty and the tv went off and won't turn back on. I called Vizio and explained the problem and she told me that the motherboard is bad. I told her I just had it replaced and she told me she had it in her records that it was replaced in September 2011. I asked if she warrantied the replacement parts and said it was only a three month warranty. She said all she can do is give me the number to a repair person but the cost is going to be more than the tv even costs. It worked from February of 2011 to April of 2012 and thats all. What a waste of money. I will never again in my life buy another vizio product. They have the worst costumer service also. I am very disappointed. 14 months for $300 bucks. That price would have been a decent deal if the tv would have lasted for 3 or 4 years but for 1 year that is the most expensive tv I ever purchased. Stay away from Vizio and if you don't take my word for it and go buy one then you can't say I didn't warn you.
Perfect! Ordered this as a refurb so I was a little worried but it's great. Not a scratch to be found.
