Great TV I've owned this TV for a little under a year now not one problem. I have my Xbox 360 PS2 BlueRay Stereo HD cable box all hooked up to it. I payed 1450 last Christmas so I would think that now it should be found for around 1000.
Great TV I've had mine since Dec. of 2008 and I couldn't be happier. Not so much as one dead pixel and it looks as good as the day I bought it.

great TV great PQ advanced internet features lacking I've been using this TV for about 4 months now. It's a great TV with a great picture. I won't bother repeating all of the technical stats since you can see them above but suffice it to say that this TV has all the technical bells and whistles you'd want in terms of contrast ratio refresh rate etc.In general Sony makes good products although you do sometimes have to pay a little more for them. The Z series is their midrange series it's better than the S V and some others but doesn't have all the features of the XBR series.
Another great product from Sony I've had this TV since black Friday of 2008. We purchased this from Circuit City just before they went under so we got an excellent deal in exchange for not being able to return it.This unit is jam packed with connections and features. I also bought a Sony home theater system no bluray just upconverting DVDat the same time. I will note that having wireless rear channel speakers is very nicethink about this if looking at a home theater system!After 2 years of use I'm still very pleased with the purchase and while it doesn't have internet connectivity I don't miss that as I watch TV and movies on itI mean it is a TV for Pete's sake!While I realize this TV is no longer made by Sony based on the experience I had with this TV I would definitely buy another Sony as long as I can afford it. They do cost more but I think it is like anything else in lifeyou get what you pay for in the long run.
Mesmerizing! I have owned this TV KDL46Z4100 silver for 1.5 years and though I will not be able to give many technical details but for rest of the people in plain english you cannot go wrong with this TV. Ours is hooked with our old zenith home theater system so we don't use TV audio but our surround system. In addition TV is also connected with sony blueray player that we got in a combined deal while buying TV and samsung dvd player for international disc formats. Earlier we had cable TV with HDDVR and our TV always looked superior to our friend's samsung class TV don't know the model no. but its top line 52 inch thing but we and our other friends thought its because they have dish network and no HD signals are coming but then they subscribed to HD signal and the difference was still there. And now from past one month we also have dish network and we have concluded that this is just better TV. And also the samsung dvd player that we have.our friends also have it and they have bose surround system that they use with TV and same dvd on different TV gives better result in ours.I still remember that setting the TV was not breeze but mainly because we were trying to get sound from our old zenith system and it did not have newer option available but rest was easy we just got HDMI cables to connect everything else.
LCD Greatness I purchased this TV February 2009 and it has since been shipped from S. Korea all the way to Portugal. been probably mishandled all the way around the world as well.The Picture is amazing i have read some minor complaints about some greying on the sides i have none of that. I love this Television.TV speakers are TV Speakers what do you expect better than nothing. i am not gentle with things i own and turn it off and on repeatedly or leave it on for extended amounts of time.
Screen Discoloration after 1.5 to 2 years I bought this TV in December of 2008 with an extended warranty. Late last year I noticed some discoloration on the screen when it was blank in the form of a dirty brown smudge in the middle portion and two smaller smudges on each end of the screen. During hockey games they were very visible and made the ice look dirty in those locations. It got to the point that I began noticing it every time there was a light color on the screen. I called the extended warranty company and just from my description of the problem I was eventually offered either a replacement TV Samsung LN46D630 or $949.99. I've decided to take the $949.99 and eventually buy an upgraded TV.
Absolutely AMAZING T.V. I purchased this T.V. in Dec 10 I was replacing a Samsung 46 that had turned into a nightmare from the day I ordered it. So needless to say I was very leary read every review I could find and finaly bought this Sony. From the moment the power came on for the first time I knew I had made an Excellent choice.Set up was a breeze as is flipping between the well placed and ported cable boxes dvd players apple T.V. Etc. from the remote. The remote is for me comfortable and easy to use. Clearly marked soft keys that light up in blue make even low or no lighting adjustments quick and easy. Sync's to other Sony products seamlessly with very minimal effort. With all of the adjustments modes cinema and a powerhouse behind running it all after almost 6 mos of watching this I am still blown away by the crispness and clarity of the picture. Once you find that personal setting that usually takes me several hours of nit picky tweaking I implore you to find a better picture from a model of the time frame.I can not comment on the actual set speaker quality since from day one it has been run through a sony surround sound. I really like the floating like design and this is a very stylish T.V. on or off and would be perfectly at home in any style of interrior.
Trust Amazon.com for resale TV's With caution and some reservation I purchased a like new Sony KDL46Z4100 from Amazon.com Warehouse. Not only was it actually like new as advertised but six months have now passed and it is still priced higher at the discount stores than I paid through Amazon.com Warehouse. I don't see myself ever buying electronics any other way. They just depreciate way to fast to pay new retail prices even when on sale.
