  • 3D LED-LCD HDTV (LED Backlight)
  • QWERTY Remote Control
  • Full HD 1080p resolution
  • Two pairs of 3D glasses included in box
  • Samsung Smart TV

  • Simply amazing! Got this three months ago and still serving up richness no problem. Converted from sharp tv house hold to Samsung everything and don't regret one bit of it. I have a vizio upstairs in the bedroom but this gives me pleanty of reasons to come out of the bedroom.
Great picture substandard woofer Great Picture quality Easy to use user interface Smart Hub Product DesignAverage App support Remote control keys are very hardPoor Sound especially high bass and woofer.
UN60D8000 I bought Samsung UN60D8000 on New Year Eve of 2012. The product seem to be very good. However I have a couple issue with setup. Setting TV channel is taking too long. It is very difficult to customize TV channels. The QWERY came with the TV. Though it helpful I do not please with its function too slow and difficult to move. I wish they have a full size keyboard/mouse instead.I watch the demo 3D show. it impressed me. However after 6 months the bluetooth on TV went bad. The service call online chat was very helpful. While I do like the TV I do not like the quality of the TV. Samsung will need to improve the quality and improve the user friendly setup and usage.
Forget the 3D I think 3D is all gimmicky. The bottom line with most people is just a good high resolution picture.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT EVER!! HORRIBLE! This is most awful tv we've ever owned! From day one the remote didn't work. Samsung made us jump through hoop after hoop and pushed back on replacing the remote even though it was brand new and $2000. Finally they promised to send a new one. It never arrived. Incredibly they made us give our credit card number and have us go to the post office to send the old one back before they would agree to send a new one. We did and THEY STILL NEVER SENT A REPLACEMENT REMOTE! To this day we are with a useless tv that doesn't work and despite 10 hrs in the aggregate on the phone with Samsung's customer service we do not have a remote. A TOTAL WASTE. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Amazon CS also told us they have the most complaints with Samsung electronics than any other brand.
Extremely Dissapointed!!! First of all this is a top of the line product and as such I expected excellent customer service as well as excellent product quality I got none of the above. The T.V. performed to perfection for the first month after I installed it then the Bluetooth module on the T.V. stopped working that means that the 3D glasses cannot connect to the TV so the 3D function is useless also the QWERTY remote connects via Bluetooth to the TV rendering the remote useless as well. I contacted Samsung to get a repair order on the TV I bought the TV in the US from Amazon.
High Failure Rate I'm now on my 3rd and last TV from Samsung. I have two 2011 plasmas that have worked great with an outstanding picture but I can't say the same on their new LED product. First TV would turn off and back on unexpectedly after about 5 days of use. The second had no picture when starting up. The third is similar to firstshutting off unexpectedly and coming back on. All were purchased at a local Chain store in Naples FL so perhaps they just got a bad batch. I've read of others having similar problems so my guess is that there are some manufacturing issues tied to this new release of TV.Buyer beware.
Excellent TV Purchased this LED TV in November 2011 and once installed I have nothing but prase for this TV. It has a beautiful crisp picture and has not given us any grief in the 7 Months we've used it.
Do not Buy any Samsung TV I purchased a Samsung 52 inch TV in Jan 2010 and the backlights are shot. Samsung will not cover any repair that is out of warranty. This is a 1200 dollar repair for a 2000 dollar TV.
samsung 65inch The best tv everi was totally blown away great picture.im overall satisfied with this product im planning to buy another one soonoverall im very satisfied.

  • Display problems My Sony Bravia lasted 18 months before it started blacking out and needed to be turned off and back on in order to reset the picture.Sony 'offered' to replace their faulty TV with a 'refurbished' model for $600 + tax.I don't think so try other brands you won't get much sympathy from 'Sony customer support'.Disappointed that I paid $1200 and only got 18 months of use out of it in fact I'm still paying on it for another 6 months.
Sony BRAVIA KDL60EX720 Great TV.. I love that it will sync with my Sony surround sound system. Now I only need the one remote to control both the TV and the Sony surround sound system. The Sony remote does take some getting use to . Having the volume and channel changer at the bottom of the remote is different than my previous remote I've been trying out the new TV for the last 3 weeksso far IT IS GREAT.
Please check out these reviews before you consider this tv. []Well if you want a piece of crap and frustration beyond you imagination then by all means purchase this TV. I was sold this TV from SONY as part of the settlement on the older 60 Bravia that had the lawsuit against them and low and behold another piece of crap. The 3D is absolutely horrible. It is so bad you really can't watch a 3D movie on it without either getting a headache or just sick to your stomach. And of course I have been battling customer support technical support and anyone I can get in touch with Sony for 4 months now. Their explainiation is the TV you purchased we sold you is a low end 3D tv and the 3D performance falls within the specifications of the design. Sorry there is nothing more we can do.PleaseDO NOT buy this TV if you ever plan on using the 3D function.
Broke after 15 months I bought a slightly different Sony 60 inch model but just wanted to go on record saying what a lousy TV it has been and worse Sony's customer service was terrible. At 4 months old it started flickering which I reported to Sony but then it stopped. At 15 months the flickering returned and Sony said it would be $4200 to repair what a joke as that is twice what I paid. I think Sony should have done something as it was only 3 months out of warranty and I had reported the issue earlier. So now I have a unusable TV less than 2 years oled. Their customer service was rude and unhelpful. I'll never buy another Sony consumer electric product again which is on top of my PS3 recently crashing but thank God it was under warranty.
Sony Bravia kdl46ex720 The tv is great clear nice finish and a slick look the only down fall the the sound quality it's not the best.
Very good TV monitor but everything else is just clumsy If you are using the TV to watch shows from the cable box this is very good. Super clear picture quality too!But anything beyond that you will be disappointed.I have home theater set up with my 10 year old Marantz receiver + Martin Logan speakers & 12 subwoofer. But this TV does not have RCA audio out only optical. As Wii and Playstation 3 does not have RCA cable either I cannot do game with great sound effect at all. Netflix Youtube cannot be heard with good sound either..I also recently joined netflix but the menu and navigation is incredibly stupid & complicated even compared to Playstation 3. The graphic of the shows i.e. movie poster are too small so I cannot read the title from them.
For Customers Expecting Premium Like many people I buy Sony premium products and expect quality. My review is based on how well Sony met that quality.Features 4.9/5.0Sony gadgets intrigue me. The apps buit into this TV are great! I love watching Netflix Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video without turning on my PS3. However I do hold it to the PS3's streaming competitors such as the Roku and WDTV. Why can't there be an option to stream my mkv files? If I need to pay a couple bucks as if I haven't paid enough for the TV already for the codec then please give me the option.Picture Quality 5.0/5.0Admittedly I am not an expert at judging picture quality. This TV looks amazing to me. I have TV's from other companies such as Sharp and RCA which are nice but I always tend to prefer how Sony TV's look.Reliability/Customer Service 3.0/5.0I purchased this TV about a year ago after my Samsung TV died with only 3 years of service. I didn't want to buy a new TV because I was closing on a new house but I knew that closing could take awhile and my family would drive me nuts if we had 2 months of summer break without watching TV Feel free to judge. About 6 weeks after I purchased this TV it died. I called for a replacement and they suggested replacing it with a refurbished model. That suggestion made me irate after all I just purchased it weeks ago I could have purchased a refurbished model for significantly less. The customer service representative's response seems to have been scripted she then recommend a repair. I agreed.
TV of my dreams!!! I wanna start saying that this TV has a final destination South America so I checked price Just right brand for me the best perfect size ..It arrived on time and then I checked and tuned the color brightness etcThe 3D is amazing .bluray awesome ..
Sony Bravia KDL60EX720 60 inch 3D LED TV this is very nice TV. Only problem is viewing emails on the screen very small fonts. zoom it and then read it. secondly 3D glasses is very expensive. if we have 4 people in the house we have to buy 4 glasses and costs around $400. Glasses must be included when purchase TV. it should not be separate buying.
Some bad traits. The price is way too high for what you get. The onscreen menus are difficult to read. The remote is cumbersome almost 9 inches long. Worst of all it has an extremely loud DING when you turn the set on. And worst of worst the sound is just about awful it wobbles conversation at high is OK THEN explosions knock the cat off the coffee table it's just mediocre over priced for what you get. Oh did I forget shifting? Stationary objects shift just a smidge back and forth.

  • Nice looking TV when It's off! The built in speakers started to make a buzzing sound a few months after purchase. since I am using an AV receiver this was not an issue for meThe screen randomly goes dark for no apparent reason.Lately the TV started shutting off randomly by itself.I am about to contact the Samsung tech support folks. I am however disappointed that after less than a year of ownership I have to get this overpriced TV repaired!!I have a 42 Plasma and a 47 LCD different brands neither of which has ever given me any problems.I feel bad having recommended this same model to a number of friends and family members.
I can't customize my Samsung favortie app bar We have been using Samsung LED TV for the past eight months. I have been in love with this TV. It runs smoothly with no hiccups the picture quality is splendid and technology is really latest. I was especially hooked to watching Netflix on my Samsung TV. Accessing Netflix through Samsung TV was really easy as well because Netflix was in my top favorite apps bar. But for the past two days Netflix is not in my favorite app bar. Instead Samsung changed my favorite app bar on its own without asking my permission. This is not done. I should be allowed to customize my own app bar. I should decide what I should watch and what I should not. Samsung has no right to make these decisions for me. I am paying through my nose to Samsung for its TV and its services Samsung has no right to dictate me on what I should choose. What's the point of a Smart TV if I can't customize it to my own needs.
Poor Quality with Samsung I purchased this TV in November 2010. In October 2011 the TV was unable to read the signals from the HDMI ports. I have an Xbox360 Samsung BlueRay player and Direct TV DVR attached via HDMI. If one stopped reading I think is it likely a cable but all three must be a component on the TV which went bad. I contacted Samsung CS and it was recommended that I unplug the TV and plug it back in. No change the problem didn't go away. They scheduled a service tech to come to the house a few day later and during the waiting period I decided to leave the TV unplugged. When he arrive he plugged the TV in and it worked! Wow what is going on here. The tech suggested if the TV exhibits the same behavior to leave it unplugged for several minutes. Between the October incident and mid January 2011 the HDMI ports stopped reading one time and I needed to wait about 60 minutes before the TV would read the HDMI ports. At this point I'm thinking what kind of BS is this? I never had to do this with the RCA! And how long do I have to limp along with this crippled TV. Since I had not registered the TV when I purchased it the CS offered to extend my warranty for 90 days if I would register it online. I did and Samsung honored the extended time on the warranty. Thank you Samsung because in mid January the TV would not turn on. It would just display the red light on the front panel and click every second or second and a half. Another call to Samsung CS to arrange for repair and another visit with the same tech. This time a board needed to be replaced and the tech had it with him. I thought everything was going to go well after this repair. You know things break and Samsung honored and even extended the warranty. No problem. At the beginning of February 2011 I was sent an offer to purchase an extended warranty. I decided to go for the 2 year warranty and I am glad I did because today the clicking behavior has returned to the TV. Strange as it may seem I also received a class action settlement letter from Samsung today related to the clicking behavior. Unfortunately this model is not included in the settlement. I hope going forward over the next couple of years Samsung is able to figure out what has gone wrong with this TV because I don't want to keep taking time off to wait for the repair guy. The TV this model replaced was 17 years old and never needed a repair. Going forward Samsung has joined the ranks of Sony and AT&T and what that means is I will not knowingly purchase any products manufactured or sold by these companies.
good not perfect. I have had this TV since June 2010 and I think it's actually a 2009 model. So the newest ones might very well be slightly different. Here's a little glitch to ask the salespeople aboutThese nice TVs come with their own set of Internet Apps. You plug your TV via ethernet cable directly into your Internet router. In this way you get access to whatever apps the tv has.The problem comes with the sound. On my TV if you use the apps sound defaults back to your built in TV speakers. This is not what I wanted I wanted the audio to go through my home theater amp for surround sound via the HDMI cables. Well ain't gonna happen with this TV. You have to select tv speakers only to get audio. For regular cable TV the HDMI cable handles the audio just fine this is only an APP problem.I also have a Samsung BluRay player and I do NOT have the same problem there. The HDMI cable for that unit sends the video AND the audio through the home theater amp. So I have Netflix apps on both the TV and the BluRay I will obviously use the BlueRay App because it handles audio. But sometimes we can only find a movie we like on amazon. Well amazon did not come as an app with my blueray player. It IS on the TV so if I watch an amazon rental it is TV speakers only.I know this little wiring glitch has frustrated several owners who couldn't figure out what they were doing wrong.
Nice 3D TV!!! It has been a year having this TV at home! I enjoy it so much!!! I think it has the best picture quality and the price is reasonable. It is my preferred TV at home to watch BluRay movies.
Love the TV!!! Sleek modern but bad delivery company The best tv EVER!!!! I bought this led Tv almost a year ago here in amazon up to now it works perfectly! Its been a year and my family and I love it!!! I bought the Internet stick to make it a wireless tv to stream netflix and download apps even gamesbut I think that the internet stick should come with it The picture is awesome!!! Crisp bright and clear! The Samsung logo has a white light I think that's pretty cool but you can't turn it off if it annoys you it doesn't annoy me at all it's like a happy beam There's an option for the tv that adjusts the picture to the lighting in the room to save energy and for your eyes not to get strained. My brother bought the tv model after this the 9000 series I think this one is better. The 9000 series looks like a tv with metal scrap for a border and a square base. This has a matte border with clear acrylic accent on the sides just beautiful. What I did notice was it takes a while to change to another channel like a two second delay but maybe it's just my cable company. The 3d feature I don't use as much but it's good. I bought the shrek package with two free 3d glasses. For video games this tv is awesome!!! Specially with call of duty but won't recommend using 3d with games it will make you dizzy and your eyes will strain. I love amazon I went to 5th ave and they are selling this exact tv for 2999 that time without tax. The amazon Hdmi gold plated works great with this tv I bought 3 it's very cheap compared to other brands but very reliable.Delivery was horrible zero stars! it took a while and It states that they will open the box for you to inspect the tv but they didn't do that Delivery guys said they are not suppose to. Total lie! They just dumped the tv on my livimg room floor. I had two scary strangers in my house I was alone with my toddler and didn't want to risk our safety by arguing with these lazy unfriendly men i called after and the dispatcher said the they are suppose to do that but delivery truck is on anotherdelivery that i should just open it myself and take pictures of the damage if there was any. Wow the sevice sucks. But its ok i did not want them to come backit's late and I didnt feel safe.
Don't throw your money away. I've had this tv for almost exactly 2 years. It had a good picture but you do pay for it. It cost me about $3300 and within 2 years the power supply board has to be replaced at about $550.00 making my cost for it for 2 years about $4000.00. Had I taken the extended warranty from Samsung it would have barely expired. I did save on that personally feeling a tv should last longer than 2 or 5 years to begin with. Most show tv's lasting 2030 years. Samsung is no help at all in the repairs even though there are class action lawsuits against them. [] My TV just stopped coming on zilth no juice. Don't know if this will repair it or not. In some areas they charge $150 for a estimate of repairs alone. You can expect the parts and labor to be quite expensive to repair this type TV. All you can do is hope the features still work that you paid for. A Samsung representative told me they were having some problems with the power supply boards and other parts. I question if a company knows there are problems on an expensive tv to begin with why do they not do anything to correct the problem to save customers repair bills? My only explanation would be greed on their part.My suggestion is buy the cheapest TV you can find if you are looking for a new large flat panel TV. If it quits throw it away and purchase another. Sometimes every dog gets lucky and one will last a while. That is what I will do and I am looking for another and it won't be Samsung due to the problems with this one. You can save lots of money and still get a great picture with a less expensive TV. I have TV's that have been playing over 20 yrs with no problems but not this one. I do have several Samsung products. One forum said Samsungs design engineers say they are built to last with a life expectancy of 5 years only. Mine was 2. So a life expectancy of 5 years for a $3000.00 plus TV is still no bargain. One learns by personal experience. Please take heed unless you want to pay out $$$ like I did. I can only speak for the one I have and for the service/price I receive from them. I thought i was buying a quality product but it turns out it was poor quality. All indicators I see appear they are aware of low quality and high pricing. I suppose there is mucho dollars after purchase. One poster thinks their are major differences from the 2010 to the 2012 models.
AWESOME Tv I couldnt be happier with this product. I got for a black friday special in 2010 and it still works. The picture is perfect and the 3d feature is awesome. The packaging was excellent. Only drawback is the cost of buying pair of 3d glasses their pretty pricey.
TV I really like this TV. The problems with it is the picture takes time to get use to its simply to clear. Additionally I always have lip sync issues coming out of my Yamaha RXV765. A person could say that is the fault of the Yamaha but I think this TV should be able to handle it. The smart Hub is clunky and the remote works but I think Samsung needs to move the remote receiver on the TV. I have to lean into my TV to get the remote to work and the tv is not far from me.This is why i gave 4 stars.
wow pleased 1 year later i bought this tv last year on amazon on black Friday for unbelievable price of $1695 un55c8000 series sears was selling the 7000 series for $2995 . it came with the 2 pairs of 3d glasses all the bd 3d versions of Shrek 14 and the 6900 blu ray player. the TV has a awesome picture quality it has very dark blacks and bright whites. The 3d movies are awesome. i love how there is stuff coming out of the screen at you! There are tons of menu features to adjust the picture for better viewing pleasure. This TV is very bright the first time i watched it at night i woke my daughter up with the brightness coming from the tv in the front room. her bedroom is about 4050 feet away at a angle offset from the tv.i leaned to turn down the led back lighting to make it not as bright. My choice to go with the samsung un55c8000 series was due to better features then lower models in the series. also i had very good luck with my last samsung 67 dlp tv which still works awesome. and never had to ever replace the lamp in it.

  • Great 3D LED TV for Gaming! This Toshiba TV is an excellent choice for gamers looking to get into 3D. It offers features seen on higher end models from other companies for significantly less than the competition without sacrificing quality. I absolutely love the bezel it is a brushed metal frame with pianoblack accents on the bottom and stand rather than the all pianoblack appearance which has become the standard for most new TVs. It does most things right and the negatives are all fairly minor.PROSBreathtaking picture when properly adjusted. Colors are vivid and really give the picture a nice amount of pop. The TV offers a number of presets that you are then free to adjust to your liking with the exception of Game mode.Matte screen. This one is a matter of personal preference but I love the fact that this TV has a semimatte screen. I absolutely hate the trend of TV's with superglossy reflective screens. If I want glare and reflections I have my mirror for that.
Excellent TV but problems with an easy fix This is an excellent TV but I do have some major headaches before I had the TV set up and working. To begin with I ordered it from Tiger direct. It took them two weeks to make delivery. The set was in broken condition. I didn't realize this until I had it totally unpacked. The set was also delivering by a local trucking company. It took another week to return the set. Toshiba does not do a good job in packaging the set. I would do whatever it takes to have the delivery driver wait while you open the package and check for damage. The second time I ordered through Amazon. The set was delivered by UPS and was undamaged. It took less than a week. I have a strong suspicion that those people that gave the TV set bad reviews had a TV sets that were damaged in shipping.Positives.
still waiting I ordered this TV on March 21. It showed up March 29. Set it up and nothing works. Called tech support maybe waiting for a part. Still waiting for tech to call back and schedule something. I was soooo disappointed. I researched for a long time read all the reviews but it seems I should have paid more attention to the bad reviews. I went into a local electronics store and had experience with another brand of passive 3d and was expecting the same thing from Toshiba. This is my first time with this company. I am starting to think this was a mistake. So much for all my excitement.
Don't buy it! Don't buy it! So dissapointed! here is the letter that iI sent to CUSTOMER SERVICE if you can call them thatHELLO I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP IN THIS MATTER.I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT A TOSHIBA TV BEFORE BUT ALWAYS HEARD OF THE GOOD QUALITY AND HAVE SEEN IT MYSELF THE BRAND THAT I HAVE BEEN BUYING LATELY IS VIZIO WHICH I REALLY CAN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT. NOW I DECIDED TO STEP UP OR SO I THOUGHT AND DECIDED TO BUY MY FIRST TOSHIBA TV! I WAS SO HAPPY WITH IT INCREDIBLE IMAGE GOOD SOUND AND AMAZING FEATURES! BACK THEN I WOULD HAD RECOMMENDED THIS TV TO EVERYONE I WAS EVEN INVITING FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO COME AND WATCH 3D MOVIES IN MY BRAND NEW TOSHIBA 3D!!! THEN IT HAPPENED ABOUT ONLY 5 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT IT IT JUST STOPPED WORKING! OBVIOUSLY I DIDN'T LIKE IT! NOT AT ALL BUT AFTER ALL IT IS A TOSHIBA A BIG COMPANY WITH GREAT QUICK AND FAST CUSTOMER SERVICE WELLLOOKS LIKE I WAS WRONG I CALLED TOSHIBA FOR THE FIRST TIME ON FRIDAY APRIL 62012THEY GAVE A NUMBER FOR A LOCAL REPAIR COMPANY CALLED REPAIR COMPANY THAT SAME DAY WAITED A FEW DAYS HEARD NOTHING FROM ANYONE CALLED AGAIN TOSHIBA ON FRIDAY 13 APRIL 2012 TOLD ME TO WAIT AGAIN CALLED REPAIR COMPANY AGAIN THAT SAME DAY. WAITED MORE DAYS HEARD NOTHING FROM ANYONE ON APRIL THE 25THI CALLED ONCE MORE! THEY TOLD ME MY CASE WAS CLOSED. CLOSED????????? THEY GAVE ME A NEW CASE NUMBER..FINALLY TODAY MAY 1ST I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM TOSHIBA..
Great Toshiba TV This is a great Toshiba TV. I have to say that Toshiba is getting much better in technology. I give it 5 out of out of 5.
Great! This TV has excellent features but requires a lot of workto tweak especially if you have an eye for details and colors. The picture is not that good right out of the box to be honestmainly because of a red hue I also found that a lot of theauto picture adjustment features cause contrast glitches in the pictureonce you turn them all off you're good.3D movies on this panel are excellent on the other hand.
4 Months old and Screen went out! 17 days part on backorder! I bought Dec 2011 and 4 months later the picture went out. Called for warranty service diagnosed on phone gave me a ref number and the phone number to the repair place. I called the repair place after they called and left a recorded message saying they got the work order nothing else.
Missing parts and then extremely poor customer care When the product got shipped it is missing a part for pedestal assembly. To return it is a big pain it's a quite heavy so I decided to call Toshiba for shipping the missing parts and they are taking about than one week for placing the order and haven't yet confirmed shipping the item.
Toshiba 47TL515U I am very happy with this TV. Colors 3D functionality excellent.Originally I thought to use wired LAN connection but when I tested the WIFIit worked so flawlessly that I decided to keep using it.A common complain of the edgelit TVs is flashlighting. In this setI did not see any.Two minor things to mentions The USB connection recognizes only a limitednumber of Webcams. Why a laptop will recognize *any* USB webcamsbut a TV cannot? The second thing is a general to most HDTVs the text entry using the remoteus so clumsy. What would it take to make a USB keyboard do this simpletask?Allinall. I do recommend this TV.
Great 3D LED tv I ordered this tv because I was looking for a tv with 2D to 3D converting plus cheaper 3D. My boyfriend has a Panasonic 3d plasma with active glasses but it's missing that feature plus it's at his house! lol Anyways I got the tv the other day so I haven't really got a chance to calibrate it yet but I was trying out the 3d with old hdmi cables and it didn't work. I didn't realize they couldn't pass 3d so I had to wait to today when I got a high speed hdmi cable to try it outand boy is it great!! I don't understand what people are talking about that it isn't really 3d HD. I can't see any loss in definition. It doesn't look anything like SD.

  • Great TV at a Great Price Searched Searched and Searched on line stores etc. Compared Samsung Sony Toshiba and was very close to buying a Toshiba and then Consumer Reports updated their TV reviews and added this LG SL80 and rated it very high. So did a quick review to validate their information and then bought 2 actually.Love the slim profile and pivotability.
STAR STRUCK Purchasing the LG47SL80 was primarily based on instore evaluations Consumer Reports recommendations and reading every review I could find. In over 30 years I've never been disappointed using these guidelines.Viewing this TV is better than watching live action because real life doesn't always offer perfect lighting. The LG47SL80 does. From a distance of 7 feet my choice in a darkened room for a genuine movie experience the pimples and imperfections on all those beautiful people whom I thought were absolutely perfect clearly show up through their makeup. I have yet to decide if this is a pro or con. It is AMAZING CLARITY.Choose a matt screen vs. glossy black wisely. If you have complete control of the lighting in your TV room the glossy black screen is phenomenal. In a large family room with lots of windows and several viewing angles you might consider the matt screen.Regardless of the room lighting conditions when the set is turned off most rooms exude more pop and pizazz with the reflections and accents afforded by a huge glossy black screen than they do with a dull chunk of matt glass. The remote is responsive and easy to use. It took about 15 minutes of playing around with the menu selections to gain a total understanding of the unit. The WhiteGlove delivery came through as promised. Before placing my order I had questions about the company making the delivery. Were they bonded and insured? They were.Amazon.Com gave me the names of 3 possible companies and explained that once my shipment arrived into my area it would be assigned to one of these companies. That company would in turn contact me to set up a delivery time. In my case the initial delivery was scheduled for December 28th. It was delivered on the morning of December 24th and was set up in about 20 minutes.Merry Christmas.
LG TV I'm very happy with this TV!!! This is a what I wanted and expected.
Great TV I am very happy with my purchase of this tv. It has met or exceeded what I expected from it. I watch movies and also play video games on it and the picture is excellent.
A great TV but not the best assembly. This TV is very easy to operate and has a great picture with fantastic sound. The only problem is the TV stand. It is not assembled well and the TV is not completely stable on top of it. This in turn causes the TV to sit leaning to the right side. The original stand sent with the TV was lower on the right by 7/16 of an inch.
Excellent value Looks just as good off as it does when it is on. If that is important to you this is the lcd for you. You can get better sound quality for less. This unit has the whole package and outdoes the rest with styling.
    Great product!
47SL80 I love this TV. Slim design why would you pay so much more for LED LCD TV?. With the glass finish it looks beautiful on the wall even when it is turned off. Picture is awesome. The picture does look unnatural at 240 Hz but so do all the other brands. I just leave mine at 120Hz which I think is perfect. Great deal from Amazon received very quickly.
Buyer beware Be careful when buying large tvs from amazon and their third party sellers. I had issues with this tv from day one and with no thanks to Amazon or 6 ave electronics and am stuck with a horrible product and a horrible taste in my mouth for amazon and 6 ave electronics.
Satisfied customer We are very happy with our new LCD TV. It has a beautiful picture and great sound quality. We were able to do a side by side comparison of this particular TV and a Samsung LED. There was no visible difference so felt good about not having to spend addition money for the newest technology.

GREAT tv dead after 3 months!!! update 3/19/2011 First off i'm not going to berate Samsung quality as all my previous LCDs have been Samsung and they've worked wonderfully. I'm extremely disappointed that this tv only lasted about 3 months before i got the infamous tv turns on and off repeatedly issue. I spent months researching my next TV only to be out of luck during the Memorial day weekend the TV failed me on Friday what luck!. When the TV is working it is GORGEOUS. The fact that i can plug in my external HDD and play MKV files straight from the USB port is a real Godsend.
One year of use and enjoy it more than ever! We've owned this for just over one year and enjoy it more than ever. Picture quality is great has all the features wanted without any wasted money on those that are not used. We are constantly surprised by the number of people that spontaneously mention how great of a picture and sharp detail this producesuntil we happen to see other televisions egads! then it becomes obvious how outstanding this one really is.If there was one negative it is the soundit's a bit weak but to be fair this is placed in a large room.
BEWARE **** OF SAMSUNG TVS ****** BEWARE BEWARE OF SAMSUNG TVsPurchased a LCD TV from Samsung and within 6 months 3 days before Christmas the sound suddenly stopped working. Expecting company for the holidays this was not good that I was now without a TV. Called Samsung and after being on call for half hour they advised me they would have a technician come to my home the next day to repair. I took off work the next day and surprise surprise no technician. Called Samsung AGAIN another half hour before I got a manager on phone he apologized and said I was given the wrong information that I would have to SHIP my TV to their repair location and wait 2 to 4 weeks for repair. They had no sympathy for the fact I was now without a TV for the holidays and had a very nasty attitude on phone. The Manager in the ECR Dept Tiania Employee # 85171 out of SC office then said she would email me a shipping label and thats all she could do. Two hours later I DO NOT receive a shipping label from her I receive a request for service ticket!!!! Had to call back get another manager and request a shipping label. So basically I bought a new TV within 6 months sound was GONE lost a day of work and spent 2 hours total on phone with no resolution from Samsung except for me to find a UPS STORE and ship it back to them. Just what we all need 3 days before Christmas to deal with this when I paid over 500.00 for the TV DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG TV .
We love our Samsung B750 LCD TV! So my fiance and I bought this beautiful Samsung LN46B750 46 LCD TV a little over a year ago in December 2009 after doing a lot of research and looking at similar models at Best Buy. While we were at Best Buy we noticed that the Samsung LCD TVs beat the other TVs almost hands down in terms of picture quality. It's a pretty classy looking set too with a piano gloss finish and the touch of grey around the edges.
Very sharp image and no noticable blur I looked at a LOT of HD TVs before I bought one and long ago decided I wanted 120Hz because the 60Hz ones were so blurry during motion. I had decided I liked the Samsung ones featurewise but didn't at all like the touch of red bezel on the models I liked.I watched the prices and features of TVs for over a year.
Warehouse Review Only Defective I purchased this item 10 days ago and finally got to set it up last night after our new furniture was delivered.Set up was very easy and once I had the TV up and running after about 5 minutes it cuts off in the middle of a show then comes back on. It proceeds to do this repeatedly over and over until I have to shut the TV off myself. I tried a different outlet thinking for some reason my outlet might have been shorting but the same thing occurred. I waited an hour or so after unplugging thinking time would heal the issueand the same thing happened upon turning it on again. I clearly have received a defective TV from the Amazon Warehouse so I would highly recommend not ordering from the Warehouse or at least realize the risk you are taking. The only positive thing about all this is Amazon will fully refund me send a shipping party out to pick up the TV and take it back. I appreciate their service but definitely wanted to share my experience so others might know the risk dealing with ordering from the Warehouse.
Nice TV TERRIBLE service I purchased this TV in July of 2009 and it worked flawlessly until May 2010. During that time the TV was excellent. Great Picture quality. Also of note Amazon's delivery and service were exemplary as always. Unfortunately this is where the good things I have to say about this TV end.I have had a defect with my Television where it acts as if it is constantly receiving input from the buttons or remote. The light is blinking constantly and the TV changes input sources randomly rendering it unusable. Over the last month I have had it repaired at the expense of Samsung twice. Neither repair fixed the problem and now Samsung wants to schedule a 3rd repair. I told them that I am not interested in waiting around for another repair if it's like the first two it will be another two weeks because I have already had a broken TV for over a month. I told them that I would like an exchange for a new TV instead and they refuse to cooperate. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB and will have to see how this plays out but I cannot recommend a Samsung TV simply because of their service.
Perseverance pays off! After months of research I was excited and relieved to purchase the Samsung LN46B750 as a warehouse deal for approximately $750 on October 19 2010. It met all of my requirements 240hz refresh rate larger than 40 great [2ms] response time with game mode and at a remarkable price. Yes this was my big break. I counted the days down to receipt of the set.I received a call from the shipping company Pilot about a week after I placed my order. Let me say first that Pilot was outstanding throughout this ordeal and I would be more than happy to let them ship big ticket goods my way any time. They informed me that the box was waterlogged and falling apart and that there was no way I would accept delivery in such a condition. They even promptly sent me pictures documenting the damage. Sadly I elected to ship it back free of charge but I would not be deterred. I placed an order for the same TV again as a warehouse deal only this time for $710 shipped.About three weeks after my initial order I finally had this handsome Samsung TV inhouse. I'm not sure how this was a warehouse deal your mileage may vary but my TV looked and came packaged as if it were brand new. Even the remote was sealed and included the complimentary batteries. Needless to say I was pleased with the condition of the item for it being a warehouse buy. Installation was also pretty easy and straightforward though I could see someone installing it solo having to struggle. The TV looks like it is floating over its base thanks to its clear cylindrical stand a nice touch of style to be sure. The TV itself does its job and it does it well. Black levels are some of the deepest I've ever seen on a TV CNET wasn't joking in its review. The refresh rate is smooth as advertised and I do not get the soap opera sensation that I've had on other 240hz HDTVs. As a serious gamer who plays games where milliseconds matter I can attest that response times are perfectly acceptable but only with game mode activated. This is not a problem of course but it is somewhat of a hassle to go into the menu screen and activate it each time you want to play assuming it was previously turned off for movie watching. It does take some getting usedto to play on such a large screen when transitioning from a 26 display but I'll struggle through the adjustment period somehow. How does it look in bright light? Well not bad but not great.
2009 Purchase going strong Got this tv in 2009 after much research. Happy with the quality so far. Only slight confusion is the PictureinPicture feature. I thought this meant splitscreen viewing with two channels but it does not. Cannnot share the screen in the same mode i.e. tv video etc.

  • High pitched whine when the TV is on. This TV has some fantastic features covered well in other reviews but it produces a high pitched whine while turned on. And it is loud enough that i can hear it over the tv volume at level 10 whichmis our listening level for most shows. We upgraded from a LG to this tv and had it mounted on our wall before testing it out. We would not have kept it if we knew about the noise before we mounted it. I will update after I contact Vizio support.
This TV is AMAZING!! I can not say enough about this TV! Right out of the box the picture quality is superb. There are settings for almost every sport as well as movies or you can customize the settings to your liking. It was very easy to sync the remote and connect components such as cable and bluray. Also very easy to sync remote to these components. Connecting to a WiFi network is a breeze as well. One of my favorite features is the SRS Audio Technology. With previous TV's I always hated how commercials would get really loud I'd turn it down then when the show came back on I'd have to turn it back upannoying! Not with this TV! Very consistent sound.Love the internet appsAmazon NetFlix YouTube Facebook Pandora and many more. I love being able to stream video instantly you have access to pretty much any movie or tv show in seconds. There are ample HDMI ports 5 2 USB ports an ethernet port as well as standard component ports. I have a blu ray player connected which looks amazing! and I have also hooked up my laptop via an HDMI port to view video on the big screenworks great! Also the remote with the slideout QWERTY keyboard is an ingenious idea! It does have a few bugs that need to be worked out but it is SO much easier and faster than using the arrows to go back and forth up and down to select letters.
Still love this TV after a year! I bought this tv as a Christmas gift to myself on Black Friday last year.my brother and nephew helped me set it up and we all were amazed at the clarity and sharpness of the picture. Then my parents came to visit and couldn't get over the quality. The original set up was totally easy and I needed very few cords HDMI for my other equipment I bought a bluray player at the same time also terrific and a Vizio and the HD box etc.I did my research before buying and still think I got a great deal $1149 on Amazon a year ago now its almost the original retail over $1500 list and compared to the other brands I shopped in stores to compare until I dropped the quality to price was unbeatable. All in all I STILL think this tv is fantastic the access to Netflix and other streaming technology is so easy and with the blu ray the clarity of anything HD or 1080P is truly excellent.BTW I saw so many comments on the ever present VIZIO logo being lit up if you all are referring the the On/OFF lite on the frame it just doesn't stand out to me it barely registers so I am thinking its the lighting in the room the tv is in. Didn't have any issues with blanking out etc.
$1400 Doorstop My $1400 VIZIO XVT473 experienced what VIZIO called an exceptional and unfixable failure just past warrantee. But even in this exceptional failure situation where the device was clearly defective VIZIO's suggested resolution is to sell me a previouslyreturned unit with significantly fewer features and just a 90day warranteefor about the price I can find that lesser model at online retailers. In summary my personal experience and observation is that when one of their products is clearly defective VIZIO's strategy is not to stand behind the product and make the customer whole but rather to entice the customer into sending them more money. I should not have listened so exclusively to the editors' reviews who look only at features during a moment in time. I should have paid more attention to the many consumers who were then and still are posting their negative experiences with VIZIO products. I am now the proud owner of a $1400 doorstop.
Huge vertical purple stripe on left side! Purchased this unit via Amazon on 1/2/11. It arrived a few days later.Recently when turned on in the morning a 18 wide purple stripe appeared on the left side of the screen 18 !!Purple showed up in the image where dark shading would be normally. Very distracting.I thanked my lucky stars that I bought a Square Trade 3 year warranty. Service repair contacted me and I sent some photos. They assessed the problem and on determining that it was not cost effective to repair gave me my full purchase price back! Hallelujah.DO NOT PURCHASE a VIZIO.Great picture and sound for one year then garbage.I have a Zenith that is on EVERY morning. It's over 20 years old!I'm leaning toward a Sony to replace it. Every review I've read give 5 stars.I just hope this is not an endemic problem with LCD screens.
Don't Be A SuckerLots of These Die Right after warranty period expires Don't be a sucker! I bought this TV not paying attention to those product reviews that said the screen went out flickers to black just after the warranty period expired. Well it just happened to me. Vizio help was nice but clueless. They spent 15 minutes trying to help by resetting all functions. Screen went out again in the middle of everything. Now nothing works and can't get a picture to fix it. They gave me the phone number of a national tech service I can call. Great help. For the 12 months it was under warranty it was a terrific set just like the multistar reviews said. But thirteen months later almost to the day the thing went out. When I read the reviews I figured there were only one or two lemons. Boy was I wrong. Don't you make the same mistake unless you want to buy a new $1200 TV every 12 or 13 months.Roger LernerPSStay posted legal action to follow maybe a class action here in Maryland. Avoid the hassel don't buy this junk.
never received never received it. order 11/30/11. wrote to them no response..will anyone respond to the email?????send my order asap. please send my order.
Black/blacking out still happens as of 12/31/11 This review is mostly geared towards providing an update on the blacking out issue and my issues with the tv's sound mostly because I think the quality of the TV while it's working has been written about extensively here. I've been using this tv for about 1.5 years and although it's not the best image I've seen I would for the most part agree that it is really good.My Vizio like others posted here will randomly shut off while doing nothing other than watching tv. The screen goes black and then the Vizio light on the front of the tv will blink from orange to white repeatedly for around 2030 seconds. During this time you can't do anything and then the tv will randomly start up again. This happens roughly 23 times a week. This used to be much worse Occuring >10 times a week a few months ago but seems to have gotten better. On a side note the tv sound also cracks on both my satellite signal and PS3 both HDMI connectedwhen I start up the tv. Sometimes there is no sound and sometimes the crackling lasts for quite a long time >5 min before reverting back to normal. This is usually solved by turning the tv on and off but irritating nonetheless.I called customer service today 12/31/11 and they ran me through resetting the tv and checking the firmware. The firmware is current. The sound still seems to crack and the representative has approved professional service of the tv pending confirmation of purchase. But he could not provide a solution for the random shutting down. He told me that they are working on a solution for a firmware update that will be automatically downloaded via wifi but could not provide a timeline. He acknowledged that this is a major performance issue with the tv and apologized. My impression of Vizio's customer service was for the most part positive. But he was unable to provide a solution. Because of this I would recommend to everyone considering this tv not to purchase it at least until there is a confirmed solution that works. So to summarize 4/5 stars for overall picture quality 2/5 stars for overall functionality.
VIZIO XVT473SV 47inch Class Full Array TruLED LCD HDTV 240 Hz SPS with VIZIO Internet Apps I must say that this TV meets and exceeds our greatest expectations. All of the great reviews were correct both here at Amazon and across the Internet. It comes with Internet access including wireless and some great widgets. We get a lot of use from Pandora VUDU and Netflix as well as current weather and forecast widgets. We have our TVs via ethernet cable however so I have not tested the wireless. No 3D but we didn't want any at this point. Maybe in a few more years when there is more available and hopefully the glasses have improved so as not to cause headaches. Fantastic picture very little reflection distraction excellent instructions with a very easy setup and navigation intuitive and most amazing of all the TV speaker audio handles the medium and high freqs very well. By far the best I've ever heard from TV speakers. We just added a small 150 watt subwoofer Yamaha YSTFSW150BL see reviewto it and it is very nice in our medium sized open ended family room. Anything that comes close to this TV is far more expensive. We couldn't be happier. And of course Amazon got it here like greased lightening and packed perfectly.
Awesome TV but have had it a year and am just not getting the most out of it. I just wanted to start off saying that I love this TV and every feature on it works great as I would expect it to. I just wanted to write this review to detail some good settings for the picture quality area to get the most out of it. It was just until the last few days when I found the best settings for the set and it always used to hurt my eyes before and give me a headache with a high back light setting. Vizio makes amazing quality TVs but their picture settings are the worst tools I've ever had to use. I have spent many hours tweaking the TV over and over to get it right and now that it is right I cannot believe how amazing it looks. The secret is switching the picture mode to Movie Mode which prevents the light from ever being too bright. The rest of the settings are for a slightly higher saturated color setting from completely natural colors. These settings should apply to newer and older models of this TV too. Hope you enjoy!Menu Button > TV Settings > PicturePicture Mode MovieBacklight 85Brightness 48Contrast 45Color 47Tint 0Sharpness 10Menu Button > TV Settings > Picture > More > Color TemperatureNormalMenu Button > TV Settings > Picture > More > Advanced PictureSmooth Motion Effect HighReal Cinema Mode OffNoise Reduction LowColor Enhancement Rich ColorAdaptive Luma OffFilm Mode AutoSmart Dimming OnThis should be perfect for most things. Many of these options are able to be tweaked with to the user's preference but this provides a good idea of what the default settings should be when the TV comes out of the box.If the person is looking to play a game that requires low delay / latency / response time / ms between the controller and the TV the best thing to do is set all the settings under the Advanced Picture area to off. Then you can turn game mode on which is available under TV Settings.

  • BUYERS BEWARE DO NO BUY A VIZIO!!! BUYERS BEWARE DO NO BUY A VIZIO!!! Vizio TV's are cheap and they appear to give you the biggest bang for your buck but they simply to no work as promised. I purchased a Vizio XVT553SV which at the time was their flagship model. Immediately it had video artifacts/flickering on every input Dish PS3 media player. Vizio's website even admits to this and promises that a firmware update and clean storage procedure would fix this!!! Vizio updated the firmware and the issue appeared to be resolved for a few weeks but then returned. Vizio customer support had me do a power recycle which resolved the issue for a few weeks but again the issues returned and new ones appeared the video would freeze upon a cold startup the TV would turn off automatically in the middle of watching TV for no reason whatsoever. Vizio technical support had me do clean storage procedure which appeared to resolve the issue for a few days but then the issues again returned. Technical support also admitted that the issue of the TV turning off intermittently will still be an issue until Vizio updates the firmware and they are looking into this issue now. Through these issues we could still watch TV the issues were merely a nagging nuisance. Finally fed up and fearful that the TV would fail once out of the warranty period I called Vizio and they sent out a Technician to replace the logic board. Within an hour after the technician left the TV failed altogether. Vizio now wants to replace my new TV that was defective upon arrival with a recertified TV which I objected to. In order to get a new TV they want me to pay an extra $300.00 plus tax! I asked Ashley of Vizio customer support how she would feel paying good money for a new TV but instead getting a recertified TV. She said she would be upset but this is their corporate policy. So buy a Vizio at your own risk because it is very risky to do so. Incredible that Vizio would put out a product knowing that it had existing defects and then screwing customers over!!.
erreview Excellent TV set up is really easy we have a small room so the size is perfect. Used picture settings as recommended by Cnet. Bought 28dayslater and Matrix#1 BlueRay discs as first tests. Very disappointed with 28days later ghosts on screen poor color definition etc. All was resolved when the Matrix BR started amazing picture. I guess some movies transfer to BR better than others. It must be said my previous TV was a 2003 27 Magnavox so HDTV was an eyeopener. Have also watched Fantastic Mr Fox and Dark Knight BRs magnifique! Warning a great picture does not make most movies any better.
Love the TV however? i love this TV howver after a few months of owning it the set began turning off during a movie or show. I am now going to contact vizio and see what they say.
Incredible picture and great value. I've had the XVT423SV for two weeks now. I couldn't be happier with the picture quality. HD is very crisp and clear with deep blacks and accurate colors. SD picture quality is even better than I expected. This is with the factory presets. I haven't taken the time to change the picture settings. This is a good TV for a bright room. I'll have to change the backlighting because it tends to be bright in a dark room. The Ambient Light Sensor is supposed to adjust it automatically but I find that it makes the picture too dark. I also found the Smooth Motion Effect caused what people call the soap opera effect. Motion didn't seem natural.
Unbeatable LED TV with WiFi for the price! Great TV packed with many features that other brands charge very high prices for. Picture quality is outstanding and very customizable. This is my second Vizio XVTseries television and I am pleased with both overall. There are a few bugs in the way it updates its software or reboots like a computer would sometimes but it doesn't happen too often. The remote is a bit bulky with small buttons but the full qwerty keyboard and Bluetooth connection are nice.
Vizio TV with Apps Very pleased with this TV the only problem is the sound. not the best but will Live with that. This TV was refurbished and the company PTLTRADER was great to work with I had some Issues but they worked with me..I would buy from them again..5 star review for PTLTRADER..
Broke after one year and a few days We purchased the Vizio XVT423SV 42Inch TV January 14 2011. Just a few days after the 1 year the TV stopped working had no picture or sound. We contacted with Vizio they said since this is after the one year guarantee they have to see what they can do. They have a contract with ITI in San Francisco Bay area to fix the TVs. Setting up dates with the repairman took several days he came changed a part the TV did not work. Again setting up a new date he changed some other parts but the TV did not work. ITI deemed the TV irreparable said that Vizio was going to contact us they did not contact with Vizio but we did. Every day we would call them to see what can be done. After one and a half weeks calling every day they gave us this deal $330 to buy a refurbished TV the same size and model as ours or for less money a smaller TV. What a deal!! It took to reach this deal 1.5 months! The end of the story is that our 1 year and few days old broken TV is going to the garbage dump where it belongs. We have been also contemplating to donate to our kids school for take a part that would give a nice advertisement for a quality TV. I wanted to write this review to prevent others from wasting a $1150 on some unreliable headache.
Very Satisfied Very Satisfied. Color is perfect didn't have to make any adjustments. Streaming is seamless thus far. Takes more time than usual to turn on though as well as to get the channel you are changing to. However these are minor compared to the picture quality and enjoyment we get from our beautiful looking TV.
Great TV I bought this TV based off of Vizios name. I also had bought a refurb 32 from Tigerdirect in 2009 and loved that one. Because I was satisfied with my 32 I felt that the internet apps would be a great bonus with the LED lighting. The apps are a welcome addition to the tv and also at the time something that not all tv's had at the time. One of my favorite apps is the Amazon instant app which plays content flawlessly with no errors. There's a Pandora app iHeartRadio Showtime YouTube and many others.
Vizio TV WhenI purchase the television I was very excited about the internet apps. They TV has a sharp look with pretty good sound quality. The problem I have is that the tv is basicly a Computer and takes a little bit of time to boot up. also I have problems with it freezing up during a cold boot. I have called tech support and thay have been good but the problems seems to come back. It has to do with the memory or cache in the system. I plan to have it serviced but you need to Go through a process before they want to service the equipment. Plus hold on to your reciept because they insist on your copy not just the ones thay have. Hopefully after service this situation will be resolved.

  • Very good TV but not perfect. Bought this TV UN55C7000 from Amazon about a month ago for around $1800.Overall I am very pleased with the TV. The high def quality is exceptionally good. I think Samsung LCDs beat anyone else's LCDs when it comes to pure picture quality. And the bezel is very stylish and thin though I would have preferred a traditional black stand to this new silver one. However there is room for improvmemnt. I do notice some flashlighting from the corners as other reviews have mentioned.
LOVE IT!!! I just bought this TV a few days ago and it is AMAZING! It has a beautiful picture and the 3D experience is the best. I also love that it is a smart TV! = It's expensive but very worth the money if you are looking for a great tv.
Great TV This TV is absoultly awhsome! The picture is just great! Samsung did a beautiful job. However I was a little disappointed that four mounting screws were not included. It's kind of sad to pay this much for a TV and the mounting screws were not included. If you need the screws they are M8 15mm. I had to call Samsung support to find out the actual screw size. BTW don't expect to go to your local hardware store and pick up these screws. They're difficult to find. I had to go to an electronic store to locate them. The only other option was to buy them from Samsung. Amazon did a fantastic job getting the TV to me in great condition.
Like the Samsung TV Thus far I really like the Samsung TV. Very clear picture and resolution. It seems to be a very good quality TV.
Review of the 2D to 3D conversion I've read several reviews on the Samsung UN55C7000 from top review websites. Reviewers from those websites have said very little about the 2Dto3D conversion except that it isn't as impressive as the actual 3D with 3D movies. Well I've owned this HDTV for about one month and have watched about a half dozen 3D movies on it. Yes the 3D effect is impressive BUT I actually PREFER the 2Dto3D conversion effects more than the actual 3D blurays. Why? Because the full 3D movies are too deliberate with the effects. I mean that images jump out of the screen for a WOW factor. Hey I am not looking for oohs and ahhhhs! I want something that seems like reality and the 2Dto3D conversion looks much more realistic. I have been SO IMPRESSED with watching normal 2D movies converted to 3D that I HAD to write this review to share my experience. If you want realism then the 2Dto3D conversion is much more accurate than the overdone 3D films. Mind you I still like the WOW factor initially but I prefer the more subtle and realistic viewing of the conversions.
Samsung hurts the industry. Samsung's 3D tvs look good but overall hurt the industry by trying to sell a kind of 3D tech that is dated. Circular polarizationRealD 3D gives quality 3D that people can actually afford yet Samsung insists on pushing the active shutter system at ridiculous prices reinforcing it with monopolies on movies like Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon. Keeping these movies out of the pedestrian 3D market ultimately hurts the industry and ironically makes it harder for Samsung to win people over with 3D making good 3D seem so unavailable and cornered. You're halting the progress of this technology Samsung. Panasonic is doing the same thing. The companies to support right now are LG and Vizio who are doing some really great looking and affordable work. As for Samsung and Panasonic please stop Jerks You too Sony. Knock it off.
Family TV I've had the TV for two weeks now and like it so far. I tried a series of test with ok results I have not used the 3D features yet but looking forward to that soon. The TV was a great buy for me obtained it thru Amazon.com at great price $1665.00 with 24 months interest free. I guess overall I'm happy with the TV for the price and would recommend to others. Price was the main factor.
Great TV and Great Price I have had this tv for about a week now and everything is running smoothly. I ordered through amazon and the delivery was a good experience taking less time than originally stated to deliver and the delivery guy was very nice and accomadating to make sure my tv worked. The picture quality is great as well as the sound. I have the UN55C6500 as well and I love both of these tv's. I've had the UN55C6500 model for 6 months and no issues with this tv either. Espeically the gaming mode on both this feature works well. I got the UN55C7000 for $1500 out the door which is an amazing deal I thought. For an LED 1080p 3D tv at 240 hz thats 55. No issues what so ever I would definitely recommend this tv to anyone looking into this size and similar specs. I have not tried the 3D portion of the tv yet but this is not a big deal to me as this capability is just a nice extra to have.
Think twice! I have had this TV for a little over a year. While the TV is awesome on it's own the fact that Samsung no longer makes 3D glasses for this TV kills it. The TV its self has only been around for 2 years or less. An LED TV can last up to 8 years. with in 1 year one of the 4 pair of Samsung 3D glasses have broken with little use and handled with care and now I can't get replacements.
2010 Modle This is the 2010 model. Couldn't see the $600 differance for the 2011 Model. It came earlier than expected and arrived in perfect condition.
