Mitsubishi LT 40164 40 Inch 1080p Edge Lit Watch Out Sony, You've Just Been Out-done!!!

Very nice, This TV is wonderful! And I am always pleased with my experience through Amazon. No trouble with delivery. My only concern is that every one in a while, during a TV show, it seems the dialogue gets quieter at times for a few seconds. I don't understand that and am keeping an eye on it for now. If it is an issue, I only hope Mitsubishi can send someone out to look at it and that I am not expected to ship it somewhere because the box is no longer here.
Mitusbishi LT-40164 40, Love the TV. We came up with a lever system that allows an HDTV to fit in a traditional hideaway TV cabinet at an angle and then roll out strait. This Mitsubishi model fit perfectly. The color is great, and you get a surround sound feel from the speakers. We do feel that a bass unit would help out, but not necessary. It has an auto detect feature that takes a pretty good guess at what you are trying to connect. We use it a lot for gaming. The picture quality, sound, and turning ability added by our lever system make playing games a joy. The way we have it, the TV adjusts to you. You don't have to adjust to the TV.

Shipping was probably the only downside. The scheduled date for delivery of the TV, ended up being the scheduled date it would be at the local shipping warehouse. They called us to schedule a time for delivery and the nearest available date was two days away. I kind of expect that when Amazon says it will be delivered on a specific day, it is on my doorstep sometime that day. The bright side is that the shipping company did allow us to come by and pick it up directly from their shipping warehouse.
Died an early death, Purchased this TV at the beginning of October 2011. 3 months later, it's dead.

I was watching a show and the TV just shut off. The green power light starting flashing non-stop. I unplugged the power (as a sort of reboot), plugged it back in but still just a flashing green light. After leaving it unplugged all night, I have tried again but to no avail.

This is a pretty pricey TV. I like a lot of the features. However, having it die within 3 months of purchase is unacceptable.
Wonderful Purchase, I took delivery on this last night and got it set up right away, if anything about the TVs performance changes over time I will amend this review.

I attached it to my XBox and played the heavy metal game 'Brutal Legend', the game looked spectacular and the very loud soundtrack came out nice and clear through the factory sound system. The TV is loud. So loud I didn't even want to turn it up all the way while listening to Black Sabbath, and that's not common. The sound was good, really good in the mid and high range, some of the low end seemed lost so I am going to hook this up to a small sub and throw away my surround sound system!! I figured listening to music I heard on my childhood turntable thirty years ago and all the way through the digital revolution would be a good test drive of the sound.

The picture is wonderful, the game looked good and so did the movie I watched on it last night. It was a documentary and looked best on (the easy to change) "natural" setting, but was still very good on the "bright" and "game". There was a promo for some big, hollywood violence and special effects nightmare that looked absolutely, totally, awesome on the 'bright' setting. I don't really care for those kinds of movies but I am going to netflix this one on blu-ray just because of how sweet it looked on this TV.

The only drawback has been the shipping, they used FedEx. I live in a rural area and it was a pain to get. This is usually the case with FedEx. The online tracking said it would be delivered on Saturday, when it hadn't shown up by Monday I called and was told it would be there Monday sooner or later. Then I called on Tuesday and was told it would be there and that of course I didn't get it on Monday, they don't do home delivery on Mondays. Stupid me. There was no explanation why it hadn't been delivered on Saturday even though it was scanned onto a truck at 5 AM for delivery that day. For a FedEx delivery, this wasn't as bad as other times but we expect FedEx to be trouble and to get seamless, quality service through the USPS and UPS.
Watch Out Sony, You've Just Been Out-done!!!, There aren't enough words in ANY language that can sing the praises high enough, or great enough, about just how extraordinary THIS Mitsubishi HDTV truly is. I can say that you will never forget seeing one in operation if you ever get the chance, nor will you ever want to!! Mitsubishi has totally out done themselves with their Unisen HDTV line, no one even comes close in performance, crystal-fine picture yeilding, Hi-Def that puts High Definition in a new strata all on it's own! I've seen 3-D HDTV's and I wouldn't trade THIS beauty for anything, including 3-d. Then there is the little matter of the really creative built-in sound bar of 16 speakers built in right across the bottom of the set itself, and although small, they can really put out terrific audio, and especially for a 40" HDTV that is obviously built for people who want ALL that HDTV can give, but be able to do so in a somewhat "smaller version", for those of us that do live in apartments, smaller condos, etc. and don't want a 48-50-60++ inch TV hogging up out living space. All I know is that this size, configuration, and thoroughly knock-out picture and audio combination can't be beat by ANYONE ELSE, no matter what make, model, or brand it is. Mitsubishi Unisen HDTV's ARE the way to go, and go, and go.........

There is one small? caveat concerning this magnificent HDTV, and that is that it is fairly-to-extremely pricey, if you aren't willing to shell out $1,100.00, and for a 40" HDTV, at that, ( and more than that at many places ) then this isn't the HDTV Submersive Experience for you. It IS very expensive, but you are getting nothing but the upper registers of every kind of functioning that a HDTV is capable of giving, and then 500% more, and no holds barred. It is the quality, quality, and quality of this audacious, and amazing HDTV that will have your jaws drop in amazement upon seeing it, and hardly being able to believe what you are seeing, and hearing. Is it worth the Very High Price? I definitely think so, but then, that is why I am writing THIS review.

So if you are ready to jump into the REALLY BIG TIME, then please give this HDTV a try, and I suggest giving it some head-to-head trials against other models, especially in the "upper-echelons" of models, and makes, and see for yourself. I don't think you will ever forget it, which may just haunt you for quite a while, or at least until Mitsubishi decides to start lowering it's hefty price tag. However, I DO understand why they are not.
Mitsubishi LT-40 164 1080p 120 hz LED TV, Very satisfied of the image quality (very dependant of the cables, connections and source). Menus are easy to use. I like the fact that we can identify the inputs of the device used. The sound is really good if a subwoofer is used, but it is not up to par with a separate home theatre audio system. For me it is a good compromise. There is only one annoying thing with this tv; it takes 25 seconds to turn ON! I do not know it this is common to LED tv though.
Awesome TV, Looking for a TV for the bedroom that was bigger than our current 32 inch LCD. Was able to fit this 40 inch TV into the wall unit with no problem. Picture is rich and bright with the LED Edge lit feature. Great color and sound.
Mitsubishi LT-40164, Finished setting this set up last night and watched a bluray and an older dvd. Picture, color and sound every bit as good as we expected! Smooth and sharp. Easy to set up and hook up to the internet. Sound quality is so much better than most of the other set I have looked at, and I feel this generation of Mitsi tv's have a pictue quality second to none. Worth the extra $$ to me. Have heard buzzing about the dependability of newer Mitsubishi tv's, so we will see how that works out in the future. For now..........

LG Infinia 47LW5600 47 Inch LED LCD Good TV Great Price

Nice TV---- Would Recomment, I just have the TV for a day after purchasing from Amazon.com so yes, I still have my fingers crossed that this was the correct purchase.
I was fortunate to get this TV at a very nice sale price, as I think the normal price for this LG model is excessive. 3D may be a nice option, but unless you have children, there is very little use for 3D at this point. I only went with this model as I read tons of reviews all over the Net (I read Amazon's reviews, but I like to get independent reviews too, to verify everything) and the overall opinion from all the sources was that this LG and one SONY model were probably the top choices for this size and this price range. And with the Amazon special value sale price, it was $2000 less than the alleged equivalent from SONY anyplace.
First let me say that I was pleased with Amazon's fast shipment and the delivery. I got free economy delivery which they use HomeDirect. The TV came exactly 7 days after I ordered it, very quick in my mind. HomeDirect has had extremely bad reviews for tons of delivery problems as did Paul's TV (the co-supplier on this sale) for shipping defective items. Both did well in my mind.
There were minor glitches with HomeDirect. I got an e-mail in the middle of the week, giving me notice that they would probably be delivering the TV that Friday. To my surprise, their e-mail said they would unpack the TV, plug it in and make sure it was working. SUPER!!!! They called two days in advance to verify the Friday delivery and I requested an afternoon delivery. No problem per customer service. A day later, I went to their site on the Net, the status said 1:47 PM that Friday delivery estimated. Great!! I got a call the day before, and the dispatcher said 11 AM. I said that was okay though I preferred afternoon, but go with 11AM. I get a call at 8 AM the next morning, saying the truck would be there in 30-40 minutes. WOW, rush time. Anyway, they came and put the TV in my living-room.
Good quality TV, Very good quality TV, I'm impressed. LG does a good job on this TV even though the price is low.
i love the tv its great, i really love this 55 inch lg 3d tv its great and i would just like to say that the service was exceptional. regarding the shippment of thi product it became lost and the place that recieved it to send it to me sent it to the wrong destination which made me have to wait for 3 extra days to recieve it then i had to go out and leave work early to meet the delivery man just so i could have my tv. that is not audio and video's fault but they did reimburse me 50 dollars so i would be less angry about something that wasent there control but they did it anyway. i love that. that is what i call great service i also bought a 5 yr service plan for my tv at amazon for 190 dollars and the 3 yr plan from lg was 140 so why not get the extra 2 yrs of service the exact same plan but 5 yrs instead of 3 for 50 more bucks its worth it because it covers everything, parts labor and replaces my tv if it cant be fixed this tv is the best tv for the money that you can buy for this excellent price so thats my review on the lg 55lw5600 3d smart tv the only down side to it being smart is that i had to buy a lg smart tv upgrader to use the internet on it that kinda sucks and i didnt read that in any other reviews so i thought i would mention it to you all out there that like to stream netflix like i do if you get one of these smart tv's get the upgrader or streamer for it.
Good TV Great Price, My wife and I debated long and hard before we made our new 55" TV purchase. The matte screen, the local LED dimming, and the very reasonable price led us to decide on this TV. We couldn't be happier. The TV performs well in bright light (we have lots of windows in our living room) The picture blows away the older Sony KDF-55WF655 in our basement. The sound is adequate for us since we are using it on a stand. It might be a bit weaker if wall mounted. We are really pleased with this TV and have recommended it to others.
A Very Good TV, This is a very good tv. Display is excellent (can compare with similar Samsung) but the 'smart' tv feautures are lousy. I 3D feature is cool. Do not expect to enjoy Youtube on this TV, Netflix app works well but you need to be really patient to use Amazon Instant Video.
3D TV, We have had the LG 55" 3D TV now for a few weeks and so far it is Amazing!!! We can't wait for more 3D programs and movies.
Awesome tv and really neat features, So after a lot of research I landed on buying this tv. I knew I wanted to get a bigger screen and since 3D is where its heading towards I figured this was my best bet. I did a lot of reading on the difference between passive and active 3d and overall the benefits to passive seem to outweigh the few disadvantages. I think the 3D looks really cool and it will need to be customized to your individual preferences at first but its really awesome when you find your settings. I took the advice of another review and went to hometheaterdotcom for my calibration settings and the picture does look awesome. I really like the local dimming feature, even though in a dark room on a dark screen like the movie credits you can see the light variations where the words are I still think over all its a well used funciton. The tv has a really nice picture and the features it has are really cool. I particularly love the nero media home which creates a neat little linked network between your computer and your tv (if you have wi-fi) and allows you to view content on your computer like music or movies and play through your tv. No more tieing up the laptop to watch movies. Hulu works a little slow so thats a little annoying but its still nice to not have to run my laptop or xbox just to use it. Overall I think this is a great tv and if you can tolerate the very slightly brighter outer edges (hence edge lit) this tv is really awesome. And I emphasize on the slight cuz with local dimming turned on its not hardly noticeable. The tv has a slew of apps that I havent checked out but I just couldnt get over the really nice nero feature. For the price this is a great tv without the 3D...the 3D makes it almost a steal.
Not Pleased Yet, Received this tv yesterday hoping to get to use it. Had issues getting through the firewall, which they said is a common issue with their smart TVs. After I got that figured out, I had to call back to LG since I could not use any internet content. They decided that the issue is that this TV's software is so outdated that the online content cannot be used. They said most likely the TVs that are being sold have been sitting in a warehouse for a while and are so outdated you cannot just download an update to fix. They are sending me something that is supposed to fix this, but we will see. So far, not pleased.
A bad buy!!!, Buy this article as I had read good reviews of it, but in my case was the opposite ...
My purchase of LG Infinia 47LW5600 was the worst .. Connect the power-hungry TV start expirementar 3D technology. but this was not possible because the TV never worked, only appeared pixels across the screen, not even the menu could be seen. I contacted the seller VIDEO & AUDIO CENTER, and his answer was, talk to the workshop of LG. Because I have to talk to another company if I buy it in VIDEO & AUDIO CENTER, is a bad policy from them, then try to communicate with LG and is even worse. I returned to communicate with VIDEO & AUDIO CENTER e-mail, and I passed the case to his representative, a person who treated me the worst, did not solve my problem and spoiled. In short I lost my money, I changed the TV. and closed the case, saying they were not going to change, or refund anything.
I love this TV, We had been in the market for a new TV for quite some time, and I had planned on just buying something in the 42~47 LCD range once prices dropped after the holidays ... but when the price on the 47" version of this TV dropped under $1000 I just couldn't resist. I couldn't be happier with the decision: the image quality is simply amazing in both 2D and 3D; it's a wonderful product. As of now, however, it appears that the 47LW6500 is about the same price; given that fact, it seems like the 6500 is an even better value. That being said, however, we are very happy with our 47LW5600 TV.

To help you get a great 3D experience, use the checklist below to ensure you have everything you need. 3D viewing requires:

A DisplayFirst, you'll need a 3D-ready display--whether it's a 3D HDTV, 3D projector, or 3D computer monitor. These displays have more processing power than standard 2D models for displaying 3D images in rapid succession. A SourceYour display may be ready for 3D playback, but you'll still need a device to read 3D content. This can be a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3 system. 3D Content3D content--the actual entertainment, in other words--will be played back using the source mentioned above, whether it's a 3D broadcast from your cable provider, a 3D Blu-ray Disc, or a 3D video game. 3D GlassesFor now, the vast majority of 3D HDTVs require glasses for 3D viewing. Many use powered "active shutter" glasses, others polarized "passive" glasses. You'll need one pair per viewer, and they'll have to be compatible with your display, whether they're the same brand, or a pair of "universal" glasses designed to work across brands. HDMI CableTo connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a high-speed HDMI cable. Cables with this designation feature bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second), for carrying the 3D signal without any loss of quality. If you want to get more information about 3D, shop our 3D products, watch videos, or interact with other customers, we invite you to visit 3D 101, our customer center about everything 3D.

Sansui HDLCD4050 40 Inch 1080p LCD Nice HD, poor SD

Not bad for a starter tv @$300, BJs TG sale, I was looking for my first LCD tv under 300 and bought this during TG at BJs for $300.

I have had the viewing pleasure of SONY Bravia XBR 46 and another Bravia LED 55 inches. Honestly, I dont understand the technical details of the tvs nor tell the difference.

However, the options with the remote are limited. There is no back button on the remote to come back to the previous screen The automatic channel selection feature sucks(ie if you have no set top box with the comcast remote). Luckily, there is 1 recall button to go back to the last channel you were on

Please note, i have comcast(extended basic package) coaxial cable to my living room and no set top box room(it is in a differnt room). So, I am stuck with the tv remote and options provided for searching channels on them. This TV does not find all the analog channels like the SONY Bravia XBR 46 did and am left with around 30-40 out of the nearly 100 channels i can still see on the tube tv.

overall, its not bad, probably with the HD package, it may even look nice.
Nice HD, poor SD, Bought this Tv at a can't beat it price of $299 on Black Friday so we really wanted this to work out. Unfortunately, no matter how much we tinker with the controls or what setting we use the picture in SD is not natural. The colors are just too bright and inconsistent from channel to channel. On the positive side, the HD picture is gorgeous.. we have it connected through our cable DVR. Believe it has an HD Tuner so may not even need it to get HD. The sound, often a problem in these TVs, is solid and clear in our midsize living room without having to turn it up all the way.

Reluctantly, we've decided to return the TV because of the standard picture (people too pink or too pale is just annoying!) Getting a 37" Panasonic instead.
Great TV!, I picked up this Sansui 40" during a Black Friday sale. I had the opportunity to quickly compare this the Sansui 40" to a few other 40" TVs in the store before I purchased it. The image quality was very similar to the Samsung and Sony TVs that were sitting on either side of it. At the low Black Friday price, buying this TV was a no brainer.

I can't really find anything wrong with this TV. This is a good basic TV.

Sharp LC40LE830U Quattron 40 inch LED LCD Good buy

Impulse buy, glad I got it., I bought this TV a week ago at my local Future Shop. I was originally looking to get a 46 inch Sony Bravia 3D LED, but the salesman there left me waiting for over 30 minutes and I ended up finding this TV for sale ($629 canadian). I've had my eye on the Sharp Aquos Quattron TV's for a few years now, ever since I saw them on display and was blown away by the image quality on the blu-ray movies they had playing in-store. For the price, it seemed like too good a deal to pass up so I grabbed the box and took it to the cashier.

After setting up the TV, the first thing I did was hook up my PS3 and put on the BBC documentary Planet Earth. My girlfriend and I were both blown away by the quality of the images. Compared to my 4 year old 27" inch 720p Sony LCD, the Sharp blows it away. It did take a lot of messing around with the menu to figure out how to tune everything and I can see a lot of people being frustrated because the menu options are not very well named so it took some trial and error to figure out how to turn off the power light below the Sharp logo and how to turn on the HDMI 2,3,and 4 ports.

I mainly bought this TV to put in the basement/man-cave so that I could play xbox and ps3 on. Other than the bigger screen, I wouldn't say it's a big step up from my old LCD for games since games only output 720p graphics, but there is no ghosting when the screen goes from light to dark and I didn't notice any lag.

For watching movies, like I said before, Blu-Ray looks great. I've also hooked up a FAT32 USB key and watched a movie that was 1.36 gb big and it still looked pretty good. Last night, I hooked up my 500gb NTFS portable hard drive and we watched a 720p HD mkv movie file. The TV had no problems playing it and there were no hiccups in the playback. I also had no issues setting up wifi on the TV, I went into the menu option, hit the search button, then hit the quick connect button on my router. The TV and router found each other and setup the connection automatically. I have not tried the DLNA home network option, I'm not familiar with this and looked up online to try to set it up, but there wasn't too much info online about it. Since I can just use the usb connection for hard drives and hook up my android tablet to one of the HDMI ports, I'm not too worried about streaming content over the network to the TV through DLNA, if that's what it's for.
What a buy!, I bought this tv with a "like new" tag attached to it. I've had my reservations at first due to the fact there was a sizable hole near the base of the box. Then the unboxing began, as I opened it the top portion of the box the styrophoam was also damaaged. But it still was good enough to cover the tv. Other than that the tv itself was flawless. It still had the plastic lining around the border of the screen and the remote was in good shape.

The picture quality was also flawless. In hd the picture is amazingly crisp during tv watching as well as gaming (Xbox, Ps3) I have yet too see anything wrong so far. To get this tv at the price I did I feel like I came away a thief.
Sharp LC40LE830U, Delivered early, easy to set up, remote is easy to use. The picture is the best we've every had and the features are great. Love it! If I had a place for a second one this size I buy another one.
Sharp 830 = awesome, I've been researching LED tv's for a month and finally went with this for $600 from amazon's warehouse as "used-very good". It was in mint condition and looks like someone just returned it without even turning it on.

If you're looking for an LED without 3D then this is the TV to get. Cannot beat the picture and with wireless internet(which doesn't come with a lot of tvs) it's a great price and a great product. Super easy to set up and the picture will blow you away.

    Buy this with confidence.
Very happy!, I am very happy with this TV. I spent a long time doing research, and I'm glad I chose the right TV.

Setup was very easy, and I find I'm happy with one of the video presets, I haven't had to do any fancy changes to the settings. The picture is clear and crisp with no digital artifacts or blurs around fast action.

The sound is so-so, but that's what I expected. The speakers just aren't that large, you can't expect them to reproduce low tones well.

The hookup to the internet and Netflix was a breeze.

It syncs audio with components via HDMI3 cables very well. And it has an analog audio out you can send to anything that doesn't speak digital.

I would recommend this TV to a friend, and would purchase it again myself.
Good buy, I purchased this television in an open box condition, nothing was missing everything was packaged neat as if it had never opened. TV works great I only use it for off and online gaming PS3. I've had no issues. I was told by a friend that PS3 is shown at 1080p but my television indicates 480p, I don't know why but it doesn't affect me. I wouldn't think that the TV picture could be more sharp or clear I just thought that I would mention it in my review in case someone knew why 480p instead of 1080p, again complaints. I would buy another.
Awesome TV, I've had this TV for about 3 months now, and use it often. The overall quality of this TV is amazing. I was lucky to catch a good deal. The color, and picture is crisp!! It does take a little getting used to compared to regular TV's, especially on high quality (like Blu-Rays through HDMI cables) videos. It is super crisp, and flows very good. The one tiny complaint I have is that the HDMI ports are on the side, and depending on what cables you use, they stick out a bit from a front view. So, considering that, in my opinion, is the biggest flaw, you can see why I believe this TV is amazing.
Sharp LC40LE830U Quattron, My wife is from Japan and was the Audio/Video equipment buyer for her employer there. Based on her observations and previous experience she suggested we go with a Sharp. I had been considering an LG product but our decision was based also on the reputation of Sharp as an industry pioneer in video display manufacturing.
Great Picture and Lots of Features!!, I purchased this TV approx 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it! The picture is very sharp but also because of the quad pixel technology it gives a certain softness so that it doesn't fatigue your eyes like some TVs do. I used the settings listed by T Chens review and then from there I adjusted it to my taste as far as how much of the yellows, blues and greens I wanted. Once you get this adjusted to how you like it then other TVs look very bland. The Yellow that they integrate into the colors does indeed make the greens and blues really pop! For my purposes I found I had to back the yellow off a tad. Once I did that I still had the great green and blue tones that Sharp talks about but they didn't push the colors into artificial looking territory. Like I mentioned earlier, you will need to adjust it for your taste but if you pop in about 5 of your favorite blu-ray discs it may only take an hour or so to tweak it. This TV is EXTREMELY adjustable. You can take it from a blande gray to an insane world of super bright crazy colors. If anyone reviews it and says they didn't like the picture then I suspect they just didn't take the time to adjust it properly. There are plenty of HDMI jacks as well as RCA jacks so hookup is flexible and easy. The menu functions and apps are a breeze to use as each has a dedicated button on the remote. One important thing for me was to have access to netflix and vudu. The only one application I wish they had was the Amazon application. My blue ray entertainment center has that so its no loss but it would have been nice. I have used the USB in function and 720p and 1080p vids and movies look great. I popped a half dozen vids on a flash stick and put it in and it picks them up immediately. The speakers are really good for a TV set. They go very loud and have a decently full sound for a built in flat panel TV. All my blu-ray movies look terrific and regular TV that is broadcasted in HD is a real treat! I cant think of another TV I would rather have than this one. If it were stolen I would definitely get another one.
Fantastic product, I bought this primarily because of gaming and it DOES NOT disappoint. The picture is crystal clear and truly stunning. Just wait until you pop in a Blu Ray disc. I recommend Star Wars Episode III. You will be floored. I was also surprised by the quality of the embedded speakers. You cannot go wrong with this purchase.

Curtis 42 Inch 1080P LCD HDTV great tv!

Does everything you could possibly expect for the price, I bought this TV from Amazon, but with a price match to CompUSA. It arrived last week, and so far, it works perfectly--as well as I could possibly expect for the under-$500 price I paid.

The passive 3D technology (using lightweight polarized glasses) is generally both impressive and unobtrusive.

    a) The one true 3D Blu-Ray movie I have watched so far is Disney's Christmas Carol. 3D effects were impressive but not eye-popping. However, I think that was Disney's deliberate intention--to avoid exaggerated 3D effects that might nauseate children and give adults headaches over an hour-and-a-half span.

    b) 3D (side-by-side) YouTube videos (streamed from the Internet to my Panasonic BDT215P Blu-Ray player) look good. The TV automatically recognizes side-by-side video and displays it in 3D.

    c) 3D photos and videos on my HTC Evo 3D phone play reasonably well, in 3D, on the TV via a simple MHL adapter. The quality is lower because the pixel resolution is that of the phone's own screen (960x540) rather than the source (1920x1080 photo, 1280x720 video).

    d) 3D photos and videos from my Evo 3D play better when transferred to a USB stick and plugged into the Panasonic Blu-Ray player. The Panasonic sends side-by-side to the TV, which (again, very conveniently) automatically interprets it as 3D. The only glitch in this procedure is that 3D videos must be remuxed into the .mkv format by a tool such as mkvmerge (and with the obscure option Disable Header Compression enabled).

    e) The TV offers 2D-to-3D conversion for anything it displays, from DVDs to broadcast television. This added-3D effect is generally rather minor, but I will probably use it when I can.

In buying this low-priced 3D TV, I consciously made a few tradeoffs:

    - I didn't need LED backlighting. The primary advantage of LED backlighting is to make the TV lighter and thinner. This might have been nice, but I was not willing to pay considerably extra for it.
great tv!, I purchased this tv to basically just see if it was even any good for the price..
One of the best TV's out there!, After a huge dissapointment with 2 different sets of the Sony 46EX720 model ordered from Amazon (Sony's lack of quality control, not Amazon's fault at all), and with the biggest frustration I placed an order for this TV. I thought this would be a crappy set with mediocre picture and even worse 3D images. But for the price, I took a chance... Well, this turned out to be one of the nicest pictures picture quality TVs I have seen ever... Who is this Curtis International guy? I have no clue. The TV is made in China, like anything else you buy these days, but has all the trimmings of your regular HDTV sets with 3D built in, for about $500. I tried with Direct TV 3D signal, with Time Warner cable, with blu-ray 3D (that Narnia movie)and with stuff I got from the internet. I just could not believe my eyes... it is so vivid and real! and it uses the passive glasses type (the same that you get from the 3D theatres).

Samsung UN46D6000 46 Inch 1080p Black Best TV on the Market

Best TV on the Market, We shopped everywhere for a TV for my parents who just moved and bought a new house. We have a 46-inch LCD Samsung which we bought years before and LOVE it. This 60-inch LED Samsung is a fantastic TV. The picture is incredible and the look is very sleek. Samsung consistently has the best TV's on the market and this one is a perfect example of why.
    wow what a tv,
Excellent picture quality, Bought this TV on boxing day when it was on sale. Also ordered the samsung ultra slim mount to compliment it.

Picture Quality: Amazing. Looks sort of 3D. The auto motion plus does jitter once in a while but hardly enough to really take your attention away from what you are watching. Sometimes doesn't happen at all. Can be turned off or changed to another settings to minimize or remote it jitter. The auto motion plus gives sort of like a home movie effect. Some people like it, others do not. I am used to it and love it.
Very nice TV, I love my new tv. The only thing I don't like is the size of the clock. I mean, really, it's sooooo tiny! I also would like to have had a sleep button on the remote but other than that it's a great tv.
TV that I was looking for, A Smart TV that will connect with you in ways you've never imagined before. Once you discover Samsung Smart TV you'll never look at TV the same way again - and the 46-inch Samsung UN46D6000 LED TV is your starting point. Smart TV gives you access to the best of the Internet, along with Samsung Apps and the ability to search content both online and on your TV. And its Energy Star rating means it performs beautifully while conserving electricity ? and helping to lower your utility bills.
46 inch samsung LED TV, Everyone that sees this TV remarks on how clear the picture is. I would definately recommend this television to all my friends.
Awesome TV with minor flaws, I was in the market finally for a large flat screen TV after my 27 inch Sony VEGA's picture started to go after 10+ years. I took a stroll over to the local blue box store to check out selections in person to get an idea of what was out there as this is the first time I've been in the market.

My eyes were immediately drawn to the 55 inch Samsung. I wasn't planning on making a purchase until I saw the price - it was only $999. After talking to one of the store reps he checked and found that the actual sales price was $1500, but said I could get it for $999. It was on back order, so I figured I had nothing to lose. I could do my research and cancel the order if necessary. I checked out a lot of the reviews here and was mainly concerned with the "flash-lighting" and "clouding" mentioned by some reviewers.

After having this set for over 2 months, I'm very very happy with my purchase. The flash-lighting and clouding do exist, but you only notice this when sitting in a very dark room. Even then, these issues were hardly noticeable. I know some reviewers have stated that it was a deal breaker and they returned the set. Not sure if this was because the flaws were worse on their sets or if price came into play. I think if I paid $2000 - $2500, I might have been a bit more upset and may have considered returning it. However, I tend to doubt it. The TV isn't perfect, but it has an awesome picture for the most part. The flash-lighting and clouding do exist to a point, but not so much that the average user is going to notice in most cases. Overall I'm very happy with the product - especially with the price which was pure luck.
Love it!, We're very happy with our new TV. The picture quality and sound are great. It's helpful to have so many options for fine-tuning color, brightness, captions, etc. Both television shows and rented DVDs are rendered with clarity.
My only disappointment is that the remote isn't designed with the user in mind. The buttons aren't located in an intuitive way so that you can easily move from one function to another. It works, but you have to watch what you're doing rather than having like functions grouped.
satisfied, Ordered this model number on the advise of a friend. It exceeds all my expectations. Beautiful picture. Very happy!! This was easy to set up too. I have no experience at all and was able to do it by my self.
Great Product & Price, Samsung UN46D6000 is a total winner. Excellent picture and audio quality, features and ease of use. My research showed this was the TV to buy and the product live up to the expectations. The price on Amazon was great as well. Just an excellent product and purchase.

Mitsubishi LT 46164 46 Inch 1080p Edge Lit AWESOME PICTURE AND AWESOME FEATURES

AWESOME PICTURE AND AWESOME FEATURES, I have owned this TV for several months and love the vibrant picture and sound. I added a powered sub and it replaced my 5.1 surround sound system. My wife loved the sound but hated all the extra speakers in the room so this TV fit the bill from the start. I would highly recommend this tv and the brand name.
Don't waste your money!!!, Unit failed after 2 months of very light use. I had the dreaded Mitsubishi blinking green power light issue. From what I have read this is a very common problem, I even had the unit plugged into a surge protector. They tell me that the internal power supply blew out. The Repair shop can not get the Main PCB that blew out in a timely manor so thankfully I am getting a store credit. I will go with my original plan and get a Samsung.
Awesome!!! Great Sound,, I have this LED T.V for about two months now. So far its Great! Wow... Awesome pictures, really sharp colors and the sound is way better than most expensive LED T.V's. Whith 6 Primary colors, while most have 3 or 4, it also have 16 surround speakers!!!. I wasn't sure about Mitsubishi at first, because they are known better in cars, but I found out they have been making T.Vs for a very long time now and they are more popular in Asia. My T.V is always at work everyday, more than 8 hrs a day I'll say... not sure why it got bad reviews and didn't work with others. I will buy Mitsubishi again. It saved me almost a $700!!! I was really going for a Samsung or Sharp. Well, they are all Japanese company... Good thing I listened to the sales man in the store.
