    • JUNK JUNK JUNK Sorry to burst everyone's bubble.I purchased this tv at American Electronics in Oct. 2010 for around $2000.00.I was overall pleased with the purchase until Feb. 2011 when the tv mysteriously turned itself off. I thought I might have sat on the remote and turned it off so I turned it back on only to be greeted by a few clicks and then a blinking red light flashing 7 times.I contacted customer support and set up a repair with a local shop I was told it would take about a week to get the part.2 weeks later I was contacted by the repair shop and was informed that the part was backordered and would now take 34 weeks for the repair.After many long hours of investigation I learned of hundred's of complaints about the power board being faulty in the Viera line of Panasonic tv's this would explain the backorder.When I talked to the repair guy he said they were flooded with repairs for Panasonic Viera line tv's and said its really not a matter of if it goes out but when it goes out.Mine took 4 months to go out but I found some that went out as soon as the first week of purchase others a week after the warrenty had expired.As of today my tv is still a paperweight.Was finally contacted by the repair shop requesting my sales reciept apparently Panasonic is just going to replace the tv now. Let everyone know how that turns out.
    AWESOME I could not afford a $3000 to $5000 T.V. Wanted the best Big Screen that I could get around $2000 or under. Researched for months every size and brand over 55. Every T.V. I reviewed had good reviews and bad. But none had more positive and least bad reviews as the TCP65S2. Raul G's. thorough review on this sold me. Now it was between Sears BestBuy US Appliance or Amazon in deciding where to purchase the TV. All had the T.V around $1900 at the time I made decision on what set to get. Then Amazon's price dropped $100free shipping and no tax and the goodreviews on the delivery staff. That did it. I ordered from Amazon. Set arrived on arrival date and my wife said the delivery guys were great in bringing it in and in helping inspect the T.V. I have a 3 year old 55 Sanyo in the living room. This 65 is going to go in our basement when it's completed. I could not wait until then. I took my Sanyo down and unpacked the Panasonic.
    Stay away from this Stay away. This tv is perfect for the first few months you have it but there seems to be a problem with it after a couple of months. We bought it sept 2010 and it got the 7 lights of death 2 months out of warranty. I looked it up on the internet and it seems to be a very widespread problem with Panasonic that they are not addressing..
    BEWARE It's a nice TVwhen it actually works I experienced the EXACT same problem as Gerald Schoenburg. After about two months in service the TV simply did not power on one day. Like Gerald I called Panasonic and they walked me through the 7 blink count at which time they logged a trouble ticket. I was told the local servicing company would be out that week. Of course they didn't have the backordered parts and Panasonic is awaiting their arrival from Japan. That was 4 weeks and 2 days ago. I've called every week for a status update and they keep telling me the same thing that it's backordered.I've never had this type of problem with any of the Sony Samsung or Toshiba TV's I've owned over the years. For the $2500+ it cost for this TV big mistake go out and buy a Sony or Samsung. Bottom line is that I will not buy a Panasonic TV again.
    Biggest and best TV for the price!!!!! We purchased this model about 3 moths ago and absolutely love it! The blacks are black and the details and contrast are excellent. The speakers are horrible but like other reviewers have said people who buy this type of TV are going to use a home theater system anyway. We did a lot of research and looked at a lot of TVs before selecting this one. The important aspect for us was the ability of this model to display 1080P for moving images not just static ones! Also the refresh rate is 600. So who cares if an LCD or LED has refresh rate of 240? This model does not have internet connectivity and if you ask me that is a plus. As my wife says this is an awesome TV to watch things blow up on! We have a Blu ray player insignia which has it and we have had to replace it twice because it bricked after freezing during updates! Also This TV is one of the biggest ones around and one of the cheapest for this size.
    TV broke down 13 months after I bought it UpdatePanasonic agreed to pay the $426 for parts if I pay the $200 for labor. Good enough.Until last week I loved this TV. Great picture and the perfect size.Then we heard a loud bang/pop and the picture went dead.Panasonic was nice enough to connect me with an approved service tech.The repair estimate is about $626 with labor. On a $1900 TV that I bought just over a year ago!I think that is unacceptable. If this is common for a Panasonic I would suggest you stay away.I'm going to submit the repair expense to the Panasonic Warranty department. If they help me out I'll feel differently.
    OK TV dark movie scenes are terrible ok proce I will be honest I walked into the Best Buy last October 2010 and said I would like the biggest TV you sell. While YES there are Magnolia Best Buys that sell bigger ones this was the largest TV they had other than a Samsung 65 inch LCD which was $4500. I sure was not about to spend $4500 on the Samsung and decided to try out this 65 inch plasma. At $2000 in October 2010 this was a great deal at the time for anything its size.Quality of the picture is ok by my books but not the best.
    Nothing beats a plasma Any videophile will tell you that for the ultimate picture nothing beats a plasma the blackest blacks and truest colors no rainbow effect as experienced on DLP no extra light as experienced on an LCD plasma is always regarded as the way to go.I was in the market to update an old 65 Mitsu projection based DLP that was about 4 years old and had about 6500 hours on the bulb and found that this Panny was at a really good price point and had some fairly good reviews.

    7 Red Blinking Flashes Of Death TCP65S2 is 9 months old. Got the ever dreaded 7 red blinking flashes of death last Friday. I get that electronics break. But to have to wait 3+ weeks to get a commonly faulty part is ridiculous.I called Panasonic customer service on Saturday. A TV repair guy came today on time. He brought various parts with him to fix the problem. All seemed good. Then it all went south. I now have a 42 inch loaner with a socalled 3 week wait for the replacement SC Board. I have my doubts it will be 3 weeks. Right in time for March Madness. Nice!Now after doing a bit of research i find this is a common problem and everyone waits 3 weeks for this part. That's my biggest problem. If this is such widespread problem why does it take so long to get this part? I'm at a loss. If this was fixed today it would have been fine. But as you can tell it was not.At the end of the day I just want my relatively new TV to work.NOT HAPPY!!!!!UPDATE 3 weeks came fast. TV repair guy came back today and fixed my TV. Extremely pleased it only took days not weeks or worse yet months to fix. TV looking great again. Hope it doesn't happen again.

    Plasma TV I orderd this Item 42PX75u over the internet and the item came 3 days early on shipping and we plug the set into our Dish network. We have the clearest picture I have seen on a TV . I would recommend it highly and also amazon. com.
    Death by Blinking Light 10 times self solution I have had the 42 pz80u for 8 months. I just started using DVI > HDMI cable on the back HDMI port and after a few weeks the tv won't turn on. 10 blinks of the power light was my only clue. Service guy via chat told me the front HDMI port is designated for computers only. Back ports MUST be HDMI to HDMI devices e.g. DVD players appletv or whatever. In fact if you go DVI > HDMI then use an extender cable HDMI > HDMI inbetween your computer and the TV and still use the back port you should be good to go without this issue. Please note Other blinking light issues are different problems. I believe this is just for 10 blinks. Not 7 and not twelve. good luck. Otherwise this has been a very quality set. Controls are easy ports are easy and picture is excellent and I should know for how much I researched this crap.
    Great picture sound and looks. I absolutely love this television. It has 2 HDMI 2 Composite and 2 component inputs which allows me to hook up 3 different gaming consoles along with my Dish Network all at once.At first the picture is a little to blurry for my taste on standard definition channels. But if you play with the picture settings you make sure you dont stretch to fit you can make it look very nice. And the HD channels are amazing! I was going to buy a surround sound system but in my apartment the speakers on the tv are suffucient.
    Great set with one flaw Bought the 42PX75U Jan 2008 from reviews and comparing in store with many other brands. 15 months later the power unit failed which was replaced using the REX store warranty even though they stopped selling electronics. No other problems 22 months later. Recently got an HD input and was shocked at the great picture quality. I don't think one would see a difference in this and a 1080 picture in this size. I'd buy this one again.
    AWESOME TV This TV has far exceeded our expectations! The picture quality is excellentesp. with an HDMI cable. I definitely don't feel anything is lacking since this is 'only' 720p. I can't see how the picture could be any better! The sound quality is superb as well even when not running it thru the home theater system. And even though this model does not feature an antiglare or antireflective filter/screen like the updated model does it poses no problems. We have a wall of windows and once the TV is on you can't notice the glare except for on the bezel.All in all this was a great purchase esp. for under $1000. It is definitely worth the money. Oh and the white glove delivery was great too.
    NIce! I simply love it! HD TVs are awsome!If the closed captions could function while using the HD feed for regular TV or cable not DVD or other feed like this this TV would be perfect.I think this is because this technology stills developing.
    Panasonic TH42PX75U 720p 42 I have owned this TV for 1.5 years. TV powered down while I was watching it and will not power back on successfully. The power light flashes in patterns of 7 which indicates an error code due to failure of the power unit/board and/or voltage regulator.This is happening to a lot of Panasonic not just 42 all due to the same problems. Panasonic refuses to acknowledge responsibility for said condition and projected repair costs are at or near half of the cost of this unit.$150 for some one to come to your house to take a look at it $140 per hour to fix it plus parts cost.
    Serious problems after 2 years Bottom line for me here is only one thing after 2 years of usage about 2.5 to be precise picture disappears then reappears and so on producing show interruptions almost every 510 minutes. New unit was OK.
    All That Glitters IS NOT GOLD!! I have owned this particular model for slightly over two years. All of a sudden out of nowhere the TV powered down while I was watching it and will not power back on successfully.     • No Regrets or Second Guessing! Well I'm a gamer. As a gamer my primary concern for an HDTV was input lag. After doing research it came to my attention Panasonic plasmas have quite low input lag1620ms while not in game mode and as a result have high PQ with low input lag. I was concerned about Image Retention and Burnin. After further research it became apparent that Burnin was hardly a concern for reasonable use. Image Retention however seemed to vary from user to user and could be attributed to user errorsome had the mode on Vivid and pixel orbiter on default or variance between panels or panels manufactured in different factories/months. My personal experience is that I've only experienced noticeable IR from Gears of War which is my primary game of choice which I spend many hours playing. Sessions can go from anywhere between 2hrs to 10hrs. I have pretty nasty IR from the weapon Iconvery deep black against bright environments but although it lingers it's not noticeable in normal viewing and it fades so it's not burnin.
    Great 3D plasma The t.v came on the day it was scheduled to be without any noticeable problems so automatically the shipment gets a 5 star. When I got this t.v I was drowning in joy. I bought it with the intention of using it as my T.V via cable and PS3 and computer monitor setup for my brand new computer that I built myself. I immediately noticed how great the t.v was despite the window across from it attempting to distort the view the t.v fought back by changing the light it emmitted itself. I am not a person that knowledgable about t.v's but I known from the moment I saw how well the pictures came out that it was a great purchase. Not even after a full 3 days past the screen refreshed itself notibly and I was then able to see a black line coming from the middle top of the screen to the bottom of the screen. I was at a loss of words when that just happened all of a sudden. What I did was researched Plasma t.vs in general to see if this was something that happens frequently. Turns out it happens to plasmas pretty often having to do with something about the motherboard in the t.v.
    Really love this TV! We purchased this TV for our bedroom after considering buying an LED. Considering that the LED technology is more expensive at this point because it is newer we decided on a Plasma. After reading many reviews we decided this TV was the best for the $$$. The picture quality is excellent and the Viera Cast aps Netflix Amazon etc are great!We had just purchased the same TV but bigger version for our living room and love that one as well. You will not be disappointed with this TV. We just ordered the 3D Blu ray player and glasses so we haven't used this feature yet but I have heard that it is great on this model.
    Panasonic P42GT25 review This tv has performed excellently since I bought it in November 2011. The 3D looks great once I finally found a pair of glasses that work for it.
    Superb Plasma HDTV I Love this Television! I spent a huge amount of time researching HD televisions before making this purchase. Early in my shopping I had almost ruled out plasma but after reading many articles with regard to the benefits of plasma I took the plunge. I always have felt that plasma screens displayed the most natural looking images especially for viewing movies. During my search in the retail stores several of the HDTV salesman quietly admitted to me that when viewed at home in normal indoor lighting conditions plasma blows LCD/LED out the window. It seems that Best Buy and other retail outlets really push LED technology. My suspicion is that their profits are higher on LED models as they tend to carry a very high premium with regard to price. Consumer Reports 2011 Buying Guide rated plasmas TV's very highly with regard to HD picture quality black levels color accuracy viewing angle and motion smoothness. Panasonic was rated the highest of all brands in the 4246inch plasma ratings and were tops in reliability in the CR 2011 Guide. When it comes to power use my old 24 Sony Trinitron CRT used 170 watts of power! My new 42 Panasonic Plasma averages 99 watts according to the specifications in the user manual! That's pretty darn energy efficient in my book and the TCP42GT25 carries an Energy Star certification!The Panasonic TCP42GT25 is an amazing television. The colors are breathtaking and the picture clarity especially with a BluRay player is phenomenal. I just cannot get enough of watching this television! Everything viewed on it it is an exciting experience. For movies sports BluRay Netflix streaming and almost anything else this TV is breathtaking to watch! I have not tried the 3D yet but everything I have read says that plasma is superior for 3D viewing. I believe the 600hz refresh rate is what makes the difference here. I combined my purchase of the TCP42GT25 with the companion Panasonic DMPBDT210 BluRay player which has WiFi/Internet accessViera Cast and includes Netflix streaming. The TCP42GT25 is also capable of of WiFi Internet access on its on own with an $80 adapter but connecting with the BluRay works just as well.
    TCP42GT25 REVIEW I got this one from Costco in 5/11. Now I run into terrible popping noise whenever it is turned on. It won't even stop after half hour later when it is turned off. I heard there are few problems with 2011 Panasonic models such as Fluctuating Bright Light etc I have older Panasonic models 2008 and 2010 and they run great.
    Very Good TV I upgraded from a 27 CRT so expectations were high. I had heard what you see in the Showroom is not what you see at home and I must say this TV has excellent picture quality. I had read a lot about the LCD LED's particularly about picture quality not being upto par so was a little bit hesitant. Here is a synopsis of some features.Picture HD is very very good. NonHD took a little bit of setup but surprisingly clear once setup right borrowed some ideas from blogs. Setup menu is quite self explanatory.Audio Ordinary a bit high on the bass. I'm using external speakers so I don't really careMounting was easy about 2030 min.Connections Pretty much connects to anything Laptop 3 HDMI USB Certainly more than I will use. Internet connection was easy and quick.
    No way to see entire image. PC Resolution lower than 1920*1080. You'll never get a full fitted image in the screen. For PC via HDMI you'll have 11.5 inch margin each side and tv don't recommend ot use HDMI for PC. The VGA port can't support up to 1920*1080 resolution or more than 60Hzeven LCD can up to 85Hz or 100Hz and with cheap price. I don't know why I need buy this so called 600Hz plasma TV. For other adjustable HDMI outputBlueray XBOX360 the signal will alway be cutted and scale to display area and no way to see entire image.
    Hidden specifications that makes this TV substandard 720p with VGA only 60Hz refresh rate I purchased this TV at local Costco which is lot cheaper than Amazon. There are several things that annoyed me. When I connected my computer to TV using HDMI cable the highest refresh rate was 60 Hz which resulted in a visible flicker. I contacted customer support and they told me that this is highest TV can take. They told me to try VGA cable instead to get better refresh rate. So I purchased VGA cable. Then I found that even with the VGA cable refresh rate is still limited to 60Hz. On top of everything the display resolution is 720p on the VGA cable. So this is not a complete 1080p HD package.
    Amazing TV The BEST 42 incher out there Got this through AMAZON and it is after getting a 58 inch Panasonic VT25 3D TV and falling in love. The GT25 is the BEST HD TV on the market and is the only Plasma 42' 3D and you cant get it at Best Buy or other stores!Do not get anything less than the GT level as the quality of the image is not the same as the lesser Panasonics.Do your homework. You can't get the 42' GT in stores anymore you have to get them while they are available online like the old Pioneer TVs.The Amazon connection delivers assembles and hauls the trash.

    • PERFECT PICTURE I have several LCD tv's in my home and this PLASMA is by far the best. On the LCD tv's I occasionaly experience small boxes and blurr during fast moving scenes even with the 120hz. The picture on this PN58B550 is incredible colors are natural and are realistic and there is no blurr or boxes on the screen during fast moving scenes. As for the size its perfect. The speakers produce very acceptable sound. All in all this is a fantastic tv.
    Second to none I have had this TV for 2 months now and I have nothing but good feedback to give the picture was great right from the start no need for calibration as far as I can tell. The sound is very reasonable and I improved it with a small Bose radio connected to the TV with very good bass no receiver needed.My living room is large with viewing distance of 15 feet on average.I had a Samsung 37' LCD before that and this plasma TV is a totally new experience better than the cinema when I am watching Bluray movies with my Samsung BD player.No buzzing sound complete silence even when the sound is muted.

    • panny g10 series is good I bought the 42 inch g10 and it is a fine TV. i use it with Insight hi def cable a roku 2 xs andPioneer elite vxs74txvi playing into high end speakersThiels in front and Monitors in rear and it all works fine. Black levels are very good color balance is 'correct' after some tweaking and it handles motion quite well. i watch a lot of ESPN and football and it shows very little blurringreally none that i can see. i've had it 3 years. if 3d is not necessary for you it's a very solid tv.
    Great value for your money Nothing I can add to other reviews to describe the picture just fantastic!!!The builtin speakers are just OK but you will instead use a nice surround speaker system anyway.
    Do NOT buy Panasonic I bought Panasonic Plasma model TCP50G10 from Amazon in November 2009. The TV completely died within 2 months January 2010 flashing 8 red blinks. Since it was still under warranty Panasonic handled the repair quickly and it worked perfectly for about another 11 months. Now that the unit is just out of the warranty period Jan 2011 it completely died again this time flashing 5 red blinks. This time Panasonic will not fix the problem because the warranty just expired. An expensive 50 inch plasma TV should last longer than one year. I will NEVER buy another Panasonic product ever again urge everyone to stay away from Panasonic.
    Panasonic 46 Plasma We did some research before purchasing this product from customer reviews and industry reviews. We are very pleased with the TV. So far the blacks are great but we have only had it for a couple of weeks. The sound is not great but we have a sound system hooked up and it enhances that without a problem. Our room is bright and there are no problems with that. We watch mostly sports and the picture quality with the HD is fantastic. The price was great and the shipping was a no hassle shipping.
    Love it! I don't know too much about electronics so I had a little bit of help in finding a new tv. Amazon had the best prices for this brand and model. Great picture and great sound! HD channels looks awesome and video games look really cool while playing! I've had this TV since April 2010 and no complaints here.

    Amazon On Demand VieraCast Black levels disappointing I purchased this television based on reviews that hyped the black levels and have seen them lessen. I also made the purchase based on the fact that I would be able to stream video on demand. Either Amazon On Demand or Panasonic VieraCast make that impossible to do. I've have nothing but connection problems. The video plays for a few seconds and then I get kicked out. I've had a trouble ticket in with both Amazon and Panasonic and have yet to hear back it's been nearly a month.
    DONT BUY A TV FROM AMAZON DONT BUY A TV FROM AMAZON! I PAID EXTRA TO HAVE THIS TV DELIVERED BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I TRACKED IT TO WITHIN 10 MILES OF MY HOUSE. CALLED DELIVERY GUY 10 TIMES NO RESPONSE. HAD TO GO TO COSTCO ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND BUY REPLACEMENT. ITS JAN 4TH AND TV IS STILL SITTING IN THE WAREHOUSE.
    Panasonic 46 G10 Plasma You don't need to agonize over purchasing a Panasonic plasma TV. I spent three months doing research before making a purchase decision put in a lot of face time at the stores and lots of time on avsforums. And I must say Panasonic Plasmas are fantastic. So just go ahead and get one you won't regret it.I have had the Viera 46 G10 series for 1 year and 8 months and have not been disappointed for a second. I mostly watch HD television on it cable TV and streaming content from an HTPC and the picture is the best I have ever seen on a flat panel plasma or LCD. Black levels are amazing colors are rich and vibrant no motion jitter and it's still picture perfect at extreme viewing angles. I haven't experienced a single problem in all this time.Truth be told since I purchased this TV in April '09 I can no longer watch TV at anyone else's house. They all have LCD's all recent models all top brands including SONY and Samsung but they all look awful compared to a good plasma. It's really unwatchable. So be warned you can be irreversibly spoiled by a Panasonic Plasma. I know I am.
    fansam Very pleased. Although plasma is an older technology it is still very hard to beat. The other benifit is the exellent side viewing angle with no fading. It is my understanding that Panasonic bought the technology from Pionees when Pioneer decided not to manufacture TV's any longer. This is relevant because Pioneer made a name for themselves as the very best plasma TV technology on the market.
