    • Great TV I got this TV as a Christmas present to myself I have been very pleased with it. The 3d uses polarized glasses so they are not too bulky. The regular non3d tv has a very good image. Set up was a breeze.I have only one complaint. Amazon should repackage it as shipping takes a toll on its OEM box.
    Like the tv a couple of scary moments! I was upgrading my bedroom tv moving from the sharp aquos lc42d64u. Here is what I liked about this TV1. The 3d picture is GREAT as well as the 2d3d converted pictures. You feed like you are right there.2. The 2d picture is good however not as great as my sharp which is 4 years old.3. I don't care about all the net features as I use my other devices to achieve those functions. IMO the TV should just be a TV. I have a Tivo that can play netflix a revue that can play netflix my panasonic 3d bluray player that can play netflix you get the picture.4. The TV prompted my to do a firmware upgrade. It warned me not to touch the TV until the upgrade is finished. I accepted and the progress bar showed for a few seconds then it disappeared. The TV was not responding to commands! I was not sure if that is normal and I was scared to turn it off as it may damage the TV. So I gave it 15 minutes then I pulled the power cord off. When I put it back on it took like a minute to restart and it looked like the firmware was not changed. So I restarted the process and this time it finished and it restarted by itself but the firmware version was still not changed. The third time was the charm and the firmware was upgraded. This is a tad bit scary. Imagine if it happens 2 years down the road when the TV is out of warranty. I think the firmware upgrades should only be when absolutely necessary.5. The warning message when you display 3d pictures is quite annoying.6. Sound is okay. Not too horrible as other reviews have mentioned but okay for a bedroom.7. The TV itself looks nice and would fit with any decor. I like the clean lines and the hidden speakers. The finish is dark hairline black. Not so gray as the pictures might show.8. The price is great and I think it is worth paying the extra money to get the 3d features.9. Passive 3d is perfect for this application.
    good value good set of features So we've had this TV for about 2 weeks now. Wanted to give it some time to make sure everything was figured out and working before writing any kind of review.Pros good picture sound is fine unless you really crank it loud. Very thin unit love the depth 1.3 inches great for wall mounting which we did. Love the passive 3d.
    Great picture WE LOVE OUR NEW TV. Had the same brand for over 15 years and was always satisfied with this brand.
    1st HDTV and I am NOT disappointed!!!! Have been using a 15 year old 36 analog TV monster from Toshiba forever and being totally happy with Toshiba for many years on various products found this unit with so many bells and whistles and at a such a great price that I couldn't resist. Just received it a few weeks ago after a 3 month wait/backorder and yes the outside of the box was quite banged up but enough packing materials inside to keep it in pristine condition. After switching cable services from Time Warner Nightmare to AT&Twhich offers great bundle packages that you can customize to your own tastes and not be forced to take unwanted services as TWC makes you doI have enjoyed the best picture quality best reception and best connection to Netflix the internet and HD quality that I have ever seen even compared to my siblings and parents units from LG etc..

    NOT ENTIRELY PLEASED Good quality picture. Poor Sound. Amplifiers needed for good quality sound. 3D set up complicated. Instruction manual is not very explicit.
    Not disappointed so far Purchased the 42tl515u from another merchant known for saving money living better.1. the startup time does take some getting used to. the mrs. thought the tv wasn't working the evening after i set it up she kept turning it on and off and then proclaimed it broken. i walked in from work heard her complaint smiled and hit the power button and counted to 10. she said oh and promptly served dinner. it tasted good that night.2. HD channels look great. NonHD channels look horrible in comparison.3. no experience with the 3D glasses or 3D movies yet. Frankly not a big draw. I paid the extra money for when some compelling movie is released that I must try on 3D. Piranha 3DoubleD perhaps?Stand looks great and is not that difficult to setup. The instructions at least for me were clear and accurate.
    Piece of Junk Pros Light weight internet apps really cool easy navigation remote control very slick and updated HD picture quality = HD quality I have time warner cable with HD DVR box. Watching any dvd including 3d blu ray & 3d blu ray are all flawless.The passive 3d Awesome & really cool switching what ever you are viewing on the TV screen from 2d to 3d feature is really cool but not all that great at least I had lots of fun with it I remember watching some show about marine life in the ocean using the 2d to 3d I had a great time experiencing it I really like it.4 pairs of glasses for the 3d stuff5 HDMI ports 2 usb portsCONS Takes 20 seconds to turn on not a big dealNot wireless you have hook up a ethernet type of connection to it. May it had wifi but I think I tried it but it didn't work so I continue to mess around with other stuff on the tv.
    Good Value Easy to setup easy to use. It does take about 20 seconds to warm up but I'm OK with that.

    • Samsung 32 inch hdtv Product was great packaged very loose. No directions and I purcased the refurbashed model becouse it stated it had a one year in home warrenty I would like this in some type of writing they sent no pappers with it and hope amazon would look into this so i feel like i get what i am told as I love shopping on amazon hope for feedback thank you I provided my number.
    Fantastic Slim HDTV First off I'd like to note that I used a 360 and PC with the TV.Currently it's the bestlooking HDTV we have in the house. I've never seen my 360 games look or play this good. There is almost ZERO input lag when gaming. Colors are vivid blacks are the darkest I've ever seen and everything just kind of pops. I haven't tested the sound although several reviews note the builtin speakers are terrible.I don't use builtin speakers so that wasn't an issue. If you're looking for a cheap THX sound experience go for Klipsch 2.1 Computer speakers. The sound is as good as many home theater sound setups.I haven't tested it with my PS3 yet but may update it with more info on that later.     GREAT TV I love this TV!!!! Mounted on wall over dresser in my bedroom. The picture is fantastic clear very bright. TV is so light and thin it's easy to hang on wall mount easy to move out of the way when necessary.
    Great offangle viewing This is my second Samsung HDTV. I have 55 inch and it's the Cats Pajamas so I when I needed a smaller screen I went with Samsung again. This tv has an incredible picture. I must say that for an LCD screen the off angle viewing is superb. The picture is still quite clear from the side with hardly any noticeable dimming or fading. Maybe it's due to being LED lit.I'm not a fan of 60hz tv's but this one seems to do well.
    Very dissapointing I purchased this tv back in September and have yet to watch it. There was a problem with the screen right from the start. There was a big discolouration about the size of a large grapefuit. I had to send it back to Samsung for repairs. When they sent it back the screen had been fixed but the back panel of the tv was all dented and the glass frame was cracked and I was missing screws for the stand. So I had to send it back again to Samsung. It is still there as they are waiting for parts to arriveany where from 714 days I was told. I wish they would just send me a new tv so I could actually watch what I paid for in September! I was told Samsung's warranty states that they must try to fix it before they will replace it! Too bad for the customer.
    Wonderful if only! Great TV if only it had more connections for older types of inputs i.e. component svideo composite. I know they're not state of the art but I own them and they're still goodish. I hate being forced to buy new compatible equipment.
    sam sony I have this and im sure im getting another for my pc. one bad thing look at the tv standing or sitting to the side and the picture gets lighter. My mom's 32 LCD sony does is to. I was watching a tv show and on the show there was a hdtv in the backround it also looked like the screen was getting bright i think most of the hd tv's do this. this tv is the best i have seen and its built really well. heavy base and the tv sits on a solid chunk of clear plastic its built like a tank and has a very good picture better with dvd and even better on an hd channel nice.
    Excellent TV Wow what a great TV. Everything about this TV is awesome functionally and it is beautiful aesthetically.A couple of minor things to mention1. I hate the way they built the connections on the left side of the TV so close to the edge. They at least could have had them facing down where there may be more room. USB and Wireless devices aren't too bad but HDMI and any other cable sticks out the side. I ruined an HDMI cable trying to get it to bend enough to not show. Bad design.2. It does have some flashlighting if you know what I mean. There are definite bright spots throughout the screen in all black scenes. I have two other Samsung TV's both of them are LCD this one is LED and they have some flashlighting too. Seems to be inherit in all LCDLED screens some more than others and you never know how bad your's will be until you get it and use it.All in all I would buy this TV again since the picture is outstanding and the features and functions are wonderful but it could have been just that much better without the issues above. 4 Stars due to the issues above otherwise a great TV.
    Fantastic Display but with some Bleed Through Previous reviewers pretty much cover it elegant physical packaging very slim and easy to setup. I use only HDMI so I cannot comment on setup with older connection types.The good with a bright colorful image the video quality is unbelievable. They aren't kidding when they advertise 30000001 contrast ration. It's a 32 display so I haven't been bothered by the refresh rate I personally haven't noticed any motion blur even when playing PS3 games Game Mode on or off.
    the worst quality control It does look like a high quality product. I'm using it as a big monitor for my mac mini and the pixels map quite well not like cheaper Chinese brands.However mine was defective with buzzing noise from the behind that becomes louder when making the screen brighter and got unacceptably louder over 3 weeks. I returned mine and got a new unit and am satisfied with my new one.After a couple of week I notice about one inch of blinking line on the left top corner when connected to VGA.

    • Nice picture but stay on axis I have purchased mostly plasma TV's in the past. I love the fast motion responsiveness of plasma much easier on the eyes than the early runs of LCD screen. With the release of the faster 120hz and up I was willing to take another look. We needed a nice TV for our master bedroom and I liked the idea of getting something more energy efficient that Plasma's a known plasma negative We decided on the SAMSUNG UN40C6400 I have had it going for a couple of months and wanted to let you know my thoughts. It certainly has a stunning image I have no complaints about that. It does have alot of whistles & bells web stuff youtube games etc.which we really didn't end up using much however. I had to turn of the smoothing fast motion settings because my wife complained it made it look 'weird' her words 'too film like' my words.The only other negative I have is that the off axis discolorization is significant. In other words if you get more than 30 to 40 degrees off of it's center the colors on the picture start to change. It starts out gradual but get pretty bad when viewing 50 to 60 degrees off axis. I would not recommend this TV in a room that has a large viewing angle for that reason. For our bedroom it is fine.
    Love it! We had been eyeing this TV at Sam's Club for about 6 month's when it went on sale Black Friday for $899. We bought it & are still sayingunbelievable at the picture definition. It's Great!A little hint we have cable & the hi def channels are spectacular. When watching the nonhi def channels which are pretty good we will sometimes watch it through our dvd player which has upconvert. The picture is noticeably better.
    Unreal Picture Quality One day at Sam's I walked by this TV and had to buy it. The slim form factor and the sheer color and radiance out of this TV is unmatched. It stood out amongst 1520 TVs. Definitely worth a trip to your local electronics store to check it out.ProsColor reproduction is spectacularHD Content is extremely clearInternet@TV is extremely useful from weather and Youtube to social networks like Facebook and twitter. Yahoo! widgets work well too.The menu has a fair amount of adjustments from color to 120hz calibration4 HDMI portsExtremely thin. 1.7Very simple to set up. The most complicated thing was the stand and that wasn't bad.The LED backlighting really does a lot for the picture and deep blacks.PS3 games and BluRays look excellent.Haven't seen an electric bill to prove this but LED's consume less energyConsNo Wifi. You must either buy Samsung's dongle Samsung WIS09ABGN LinkStick or run an ethernet cable to the TV.Some standard definition content looks only ok. Hopefully this becomes less of an issue as programming is HD only.Only one COMPOSITE IN and 1 AUDIO OUT. And it isn't the standard Red/White out. Which is fine if all of your equipment is digitalScreen will go dark if a majority of the screen is showing black. I believe this is due to the TV trying to reproduce dark blacks.In Summary this TV looks excellent from picture quality to the overall form factor of it. The internet apps on this are very functional and not a gimmick. LED is definitely worth the money. It may be moderately expensive for some budgets but a great buy for what you're getting. Each of the stores I went to they said that the 6400 series was their favorite. Great price for everything you're getting. If you're looking for the internet apps make sure you get the 6400 on up and not the 6300.
    i love this tv! i absolutely love this tv!! its my first HDTV i couldn't make sense of investing in one while my tv worked fine then i passed this Samsung at Sam's it's been out about 6 wks and had never seen anything like it. this tv really stands apart from others the clarity and depth is unbelievable! and the blackest black i've ever seen on screen i'm the last of family and friends to purchase. needless to say after resisting for a few weeks i finally ditched the old tv and got this gem.i've been enjoying it for a little over a week and am still amazed by how stunning it is. not to mention there's so much it can do! i haven't explored everything i have the internet hooked up but not my pc. i bought mine at sam's for 100s less than you can find online. for viewing product demos visit the samsung site. oh and it was super easy to set up i did it on my own and i'm not super techy.edit just returned from a trip and after watching the hotel tv every so often i can't tell you how floored i was when i turned on mine.

    6500 Samsung LED HDTV I purchased this Samsung UN40C6500 40Inch 1080p 120HZ LED TV Black on January 02 2011. I had spent three years shopping for just the right fit. I thought I had found it. Then after just seven months the controls quit working. Luckily the TV was on and set on the correct volume when it quit working. Nothing else works I am waiting for a Samsung service technician to come fix it. And let me know how good their warranty is.
    Great clear pictures and video streaming capabilities This TV produces great clear pictures with good clarity and sharpness. The only thing I have against it which I had already known was that when credits roll with a black background and white text the screen is dark because of the edge lit screen. However video streaming capabilities are great on this. Plugged it into my home network and it was ready to go with Netflix and Hulu which I watch all the time now.
    Good TV but also read these Facts1 Paid ~$1075 on Amazon late december 2010. and got the wifi USB dongle for free.2 TV delivery is as expected from Amazon site no surprise.3 Setting up didn't take much timePros1 TV/picture/video Quality awesome no doubt.2 Apps not bad like the youtube one. haven't checked others.Cons1 Remote don't like it much. The iphone app is good. the key feature I don't like is its use with Internet apps. typing with this remote is a pain.2 TV Screen is like a mirror pay attention to where you put it to avoid direct light on it.3 DLNA doesn't work as good. I have had no luck to get it fully working after ~3hrs of effort Win7 PRo and 2 other DLNA servers tried none seem to pass on all folder structure successfully.
    UN40C6300 LED 40 HDTV Very pleased with the set the Allnet app works well and I also stream video from my computer to the TV. Lots of functionalityjust wish that the HDMI cables were on the bottom of the unit since I'm mounting the TV on the wall. When the TV arrived and was setup I could not believe the picture quality going from a Sony Trinitron 27 inch to this 40 inch LED. Everything just popped out at you colors were very vivid and Black and White movies were stunning. The whole experience of watching programming on this set is liking seeing previously watched TV shows and Movies for the first time again the way it was filmed. I would recommend this TV to anyone.
    Thumbs up. I got this TV a couple days ago. For your bedroom this TV is a great choice. The TV is lightweight32lb and swivels left and right on the stand. I use my TV for gaming and movies. There was some response lag without the game mode on. Switched it on and it fixed the issue. The picture quality is nearly unmatched. The sound isnt outstanding but it's not an issue as I use my bookshelf speakers for sound. It offers 4 HDMI ports a stereo 3.5 output for your boombox digitaloptical output and component/composite outputs.
    Great picturepoor sound I am very pleased with the picture quality however I was so displeased with the sound quality that I purchased a Sony sound bar. Now it's a great set.
    Hit and Miss I lingeredfor it seemed like hours before selecting this 40 Samsung but I finally pulled the trigger. The TV arrived as advertised from Amazon. When I opened the box I found lots of foam with a few pieces tucked into to select cut outs. I was hoping that Samsung would have been a little greener with their packaging. Next I opened the setup directions and read the entire manual. Third I checked all the items against the inventory and found several items missing. Undaunted I emailed Samsung Support and received a curt reply that the I would need to document that I had not purchased a restocked item. I hadn't. The tone of the reply bothered me and it's decided negative conclusion.
    Works with old and new Our extensive wall of builtin cabinetry was designed for the old 43 monstersize televisions. We were limited to a 40inch size HDTV. The Samsung UN40C6500 fits perfectly. The swivel base makes for easy access to the rear and sideconnections. The thin bezel looks sleek. Convenient touch controls placed on the lower right below the screen are unobtrusive. But the best part is this Samsung is smart recognizing and connecting seamlessly to our home network old VCR new DVR old surround sound system and receiver. The picture quality can only be called amazing. It has really impressed others who have HDTVs in their homes.The frustrating glitch was our cable company. In the process to switching to a more propriety way of providing HD signals they kept trying to pawn off old reconditioned HD receiver boxes with coax connections. We spent hours on the phone with tech support made several trips to their store to exchange equipment and had to schedule two visits by their technicians to get the new Samsung plus our other tvs to operate. The hangup with the new Samsung was the HD receiver provided by the cable company has to have an HDMI cable to the tv. Only their boxes with digital recording capabilities have this and they want to charge more for this service. We stumbled across this capability and were not told about it nor are we being charged.We are still learning how to navigate the features. Inputting using the remote is a bit clumsy. We need to do more customizing of the apps to have a lineup of those we will use the most frequently. I like the pictureinpicture showing the current channel while viewing the program guide or internet apps. I haven't tried connecting my laptop yet.Going from the dark ages to the future we are finding this tv is lots of fun.

    • Cheap tv poor service Don't waste your money Three months after buying this tv. The picture was lost. Westinghouse does not offer local service or in home service. They required me to ship the tv to them. Seventy dollars later. I recieve a call from them five days after they recieved it and said the tv was damaged in shipping and I would have to pay for repairs. ???? One year warrenty apparantly is NOT BACKED UP. Dont waste your money on anything from westinghouse. I decided to buy a sanyo tv and wow what better quality. Definatly sorry I bought a westinghouse product.
    Great value Getting an LED TV of this size for this price is almost unheard of. This is definitely a great deal. The only downside is that the resolution is 720p and not 1080p but given the size of the screen that is not an issue at all.
    westinghouse ld platinum screen 32 inch I love my tv I have only had it about 20 days but it is perfect. The volume is great the picture quality is great.

Being that I would always go to a bigger better model I would do away with my tvs but not because I was having issues with them. Barely had this tv 6 months and horizontal scrambling lines start to appear. Starts with a couple then more and more till the screen goes black. Sound remains.
    Started smoking on the 61st day! I bought this at Walmert online brand new and it just went kaput. I can't believe it! I read the reviews and it looked pretty decent. It was cheap at $260ish and thought it was a good buyPLEASE DON'T BUY THIS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. It's seldom used at my uncle's thinking it will be sufficient so wrong.
    So far so good 2 days This was my first flatscreen TV purchase first HD experience. I found this for $249 at hhgregg on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.I opened it and attached the TV to the stand with 4 screws.Other reviewers have alluded to a difficult startup process? It was a 4step process step 1 was selecting English that took 14 seconds. I didn't have any difficulty.Turned the TV on everything looks fine I can't imagine that on a 32 that 780p vs. 1080p makes much difference.Others have referred to poor sound quality I turned the sound up to watch Lord of the Rings didn't notice any degradation of quality.The remote gets 1 star in my book it's just a tiny cheap remote but I only use the remote to turn it on after that it's the Comcast remote for channel surfing.I'm a satisfied customer especially for $249.
    Worst TV ever I purchased this TV for the great price how ever I went through hell trying to get it set up nothing but lines running across the screen until I only recieved a blue screen no picture. I could not even pull up the menu and of course it is Christmas eve so no customer service.
    Do not purchase !!!!! Used this tv for 1 week only watching it 3 times. It wouldnt come on and westington house will not honor warranty so do not purchase these not only that but we bought two of these for both kids recieved 1 already not working so sent it back now this one is a waist of our hard earned 329.
    Very disappointed Dont like anything about this set.My big old Panasonic is much better.I just got because of the price and that it would take up less room.And I thought I would like it better than my old one.The picture is a little blurycolor not good.Screws for the base were not included.I would not recomend to anyone.I don't understand why so many good reviews.
    CRAPPY TVS I bought a 42 inch tv from Westinghouse. After a month it stopped working. Called the customer service and they sent the technician in our house after a week. The technician wasnt able to fix the problem so they want to replace the product but took them more than 30 days and still they couldnt find a replacement. So I asked for a refund and until not it has been 6 weeks and my refund is not yet hereI am very disappointed with how they handle my case and the long wait without a tv. Please dont buy any product from this company.
