Love my sony Purchased this in March 2009 for bedroom. Was easy to set up and install channels from Comcast. Had no problems. I have on fireplace mantel and it fits fine. I've not dabbled in a lot of the features and settings as I'm a basic user. There's a slight delay in turning on and showing the picture which just takes some getting use to. The sound is great. I don't notice any picture change from different angles however I view fairly head on. The only thing I still don't like is the use of the remote control.
Don't Trust Sony Warranty I purchased this TV
Died in less than 2.5 years I bought the TV in April 2009. I will say I was generally happy with it. Had to play with the antenna sometimes to get the reception which was a bit strange since I live within a few miles of the transmitters but others have told me that is a problem with digital TVs. I also don't think the design of the remote is very user friendly but I made do.The big problem just happened Sept 2011 less than 2.5 years the TV just died as I was watching it. No picture no sound an LED blinks that searching the web means some type of short circuit. Sony support via online chat could only tell me to take it to a repair place. The closest authorized one wants $75 just for an estimate.
Great picture in brightly lit room Wanted a small HDTV that would fit in a cabinet opening finally settled on this Sony Bravia 720p with some trepidation as I have a 1080p set from another brand in the living room and thought that the picture quality might be less than I was becoming accustomed to. Turns out I didn't need to worry the picture is beautiful sharp and clear. Seems every bit as realistic as the 1080p Sharp Aquos in the other room. The room it sits in gets a lot of sunlight but the picture is bright and colorful and unaffected unless we open the blinds and put sunlight directly on the screen. I like the favorites setting and the unit is fairly easy to operate. If I could figure out how to make the remote also control my Dish unit it would be even easier to operate. Nothing really to complain about with this HDTV.
Great TV!!! It's a Sony so it's automatically a good product. Purchase it for $100.00 cheaper than in stores.
Recurring problem with Bravias This is a nice TV great for general use for the most part. The one issue that it fails at and on epic proportions is the internal computer. I have a recurring problem with two different bravias but I'm only writing the review for this one. The entire screen will dim when a dark scene is present. If you're watching Star Wars and the screen is showing a picture of space the dark picture will cause the tv to dim the entire screen. You've no idea how maddening this is. So beware. Sony makes other good TVs but after the runaround I got from support my suggestion is to stay clear of this one.
It Works For Me My husband and I purchased this TV way back in 07/2008. Out of curiosity I decided to look it up on here. I was reading this one and two star reviews and I am baffled. It's worked just fine for us. Great in fact. No problems with itor hardly any. The sound is fine plenty loud even too loud at times. My one and only complaint is that we recently noticed this weird dark line towards the center of the screen. It appeared when my husband was trying to fix the picture so it fit the screen. A problem I blame on my cable not my TV as it started the picture not fitting after I had an issue with my cable box and rebooted it. Then suddenly the picture wasn't fitting there was dark empty space all around. Well my husband came home recently and decided on a lark to attempt to fix it.
Its A Good TV Nicely priced TV for sonyit works pretty well. It has a good selection of inputs on the back including 2 component rows.2 HDMI and 2 Composite/RCA.The only things wrong with it though is there is no optical digital audio plug and the tv takes like 20 seconds to boot upand there's an annoying feature i think its supposed to be energy efficient but the tv darkens slightly when you turn out the lights making whats going on look a little less visible.
Sony Bravia KDL26M4000 great for its size and price Too bad Sony is not selling the 26 television sets anymore. This size is the best for a small studio or apartment. The KDL26M4000 is one of the best featured Sony television sets to date. I purchased this model from Amazon.com at the beginning of 2009 few months before the digital broadcasting switch. At the same time I switched from cable subscription to the overtheair antenna. As such this Sony TV set model has behaved flawlessly. To overcome the weak sound issue I hooked a wireless headphones set and/or a simple and affordable stereo set of speakers with great success. The only important trouble coming to this and maybe other Sony Bravia models set is when one scans or rescans for broadcast channels during or after completion of scanning the TV set is freezing to the point where no options buttons will respond.I did freaked out thinking that's it! I am without TV now. Went outside took a walk trying to figure it out My room antenna is routed via the DVD player into the TV set.

    Viore LC26VF59 26 Inch 1080p Black good

    Viore LC26VF59 26-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Black
  • Beautiful color depth with a contrast ratio of 1000:1
  • 25.6-Inch wide screen for a complete home theater experience
  • High luminance display for brighter picture (300 cd/m2 )
  • Integrated ATSC TV tuner for HDTV broadcast reception
  • 1920 x 1200 native resolution for Full-HD 1080p performance
  • very good but not great used as monitor this is a very good computer monitor i've only briefly used it as a TV and it seemed to work fine.1920x1200 display looks great I use a VGA cable + external speakers.2 main flaws1 if you use an HDMI cable your computer may not recognize the correct native resolution. When I connect it via HDMI cable my computer Win 7 w/ updated graphics card drivers thinks it has a native resolution of 1920 X 1080 instead of 1920 X 1200. This makes the picture appear stretched. As a result I have to use a VGA cable and a standard audio cable.2 when the audio cable was plugged into the monitor the monitor made a weird buzzing sound that went away when I unplugged the cable. I contacted tech support once and they weren't especially helpful but I have a set of external speakers that provide better audio than the monitor anyway so I haven't tried calling back.
Excellent purchasevalue and quality top notch Quality and value of the Viore TV are excellent and dealing with Amazon is efficientplus the shipping was free. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.
It depends on what you want this tv to do
It's ok. A great HDTV for gamingcomputer monitorand Movies.NOTE/WARNINGNOT A GOOD HDTV FOR REGULAR USE.SOME CHANNELS WILL BE CUT.YOU WILL KNOW WHAT I MEAN ONCE YOU BUY THIS TV.I USE IT MOST OF THE TIME FOR GAMING AND IT IS GREAT. OVERALL IT IS WORTH IT FOR ITS PRICE.ALTHOUGH I DON'T SUGGEST IT AS A LIVING ROOM TV.IT'S MORE OF A TV FOR A DORMROOM/BEDROOM.
Nice picture poor reception I used this TV to replace a 26inch RCA LCD HDTV. The picture is better clearer richer colors etc. But the TV reception is weak.I'm using a rooftop TV antenna sick of paying for cable. The RCA pulled in about 15 stations. My Philips downstairs pulls in 21. The Viore using the same antenna only pulls in 5 stations. It's OK since I mainly use it to watch movies from DVD but I wouldn't recommend this unit if one was planning on using it with an antenna for watching broadcast TV.
Outdoor Tv I bought this tv to put on my back porch. I was really just trying to buy a cheap tv in case something happened to it i.e. weather. When purchasing I was in no way interested in picture quality. This tv has been a pleasant surprise. This is a good tv that I consider a great tv when price is taken into consideration.
You get what you pay for Ok so you see a 26 inch 1080p television with two hdmi slots for 250 dollars and see several 24 inch tvs slightly more expensive and most are only 720p. You also see 32 inch 720p tvs for 350 and up. So you say what have I got to lose? You read as many reviews as you can some bad some good and you feel doubts when reading some of the complaints but then after days and/or weeks of mind wrenching searching you always had this 26 inch cheap tv in your mind. You've never heard of the brand. You've read bad things about it it has an ugly red stripe cable companies remotes dont work with it it's not true 169 format. Yea you read all this and say those aren't big enough issues to stop me from paying 250 dollars for a flat screen 1080p 2 hdmi slot 26 inch tv. So you dive in. Excitement fills your body. You get overjoyed knowing that your tv is purchased and on the way. You stalk the tracking system from the time you buy it until it arrives. When you finally get it you can hardly contain yourself. You say in your mind that red stripe isn't so bad. Who cares that the screen isnt exactly 169? I only have to use the viore remote for volume and power? Piece of cake.
Not a very good quality TV Very poor color. The channel changes and so does the background color. Not satisfied at all with this purchase. Very disapointed.
    good

Really good purchase!, I really like this TV, although it was bought as 'previously used', it arrived at my house as a new Tv, in the original box, wrapped and protected by plastic. Only by looking at the box you could see somce signs of previous usage. It is very easy to set up, the screen and sound quality are good and the controls are simple.

    great purchase,
pmonte, I received this TV as a xmas gift and am very excited to own it. The quality is great, beautiful picture and fantastic definition. You wouldn't expect a small TV like this to have incredible sound, it is decent for what it is, but i recommend a sound system to go along. As for the connectivity, I was disappointed to find out you cannot connect any usb device for video playback to the TV. Only jpeg files are allowed for viewing. Other than that, I love connecting my macbook to it and watching movies.
It makes a great monitor!!!, I have been very pleased with this Tv, It has been a great monitor for my mac pro!!!!! It has a super slim profile so you could fit it almost anywhere, and a ver clear 720P resolution. It has 2 available Hdmi Inputs and also a RGB. If you are considering buying this as a monitor, I would recommend it.
Good television for Price, I finally upgraded from my two-ton old rear projection television. I am NOT good at putting electronic things together, but after a few attempts (and using google, You-tube and wikipedia), I actually got the dvd player and the vcr connected. I even managed to get Netflix streaming. The instruction manual included is very clear and precise. I am not happy with the sound. I put my computer speakers onto the television but I think I will get a sound bar. By itself the sound is quite tinny--like the sound of a computer with no speakers. The little $15 speakers work well to eliminate the tinny sound. What is great is all of the various inputs--plenty of room to attach everything that is needed. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend.
Great video. Poor sound., I've had this model for a year. I bought a second one a year ago for a gift and can speak for it also. This model has great video and features. There has not been any technical problems with either set so far. The sound, however, is poor. This is most likely the fault of the small speakers and not the electronics. I got around this by purchasing a set of USB powered computer speakers (this model has a USB port). The sound is now as good as the video. THE USB port can also be used to view photos from a flash drive. Works great.
Works great for the guest room, I purchased this television for our guest room a year ago. It gets used at least once a month. My mother and my in-laws both really prefer it to the complex home theater setup in our living room. The picture quality is good. The sound is good. It's super slim, so it doesn't take up much room on a console table at the foot of the bed. Overall, it's been a great purchase.
Sweet little set, I bought this on a doorbuster at a local store & could not be happier. Vizio truly is a quality set! The colors are great without much tweaking. The sound is very good for a flat panel, especially since the speakers are in the front, not the back. Good amount of hookups on it. Computer looks great hooked up to this. I even had this hooked up on my patio with an antennae to watch a race one night & the picture was so crisp & clear. I was very pleased.
