    very nice image quality This was really easy to set up after reading a few pages of instruction takes away any problems you might have and the buttons are located in much the same place as any other controller I have ever used. The picture is sharp. The screen is large but not so big as to seem too hard to deal with. Overall I am extremely pleased with the set. I received the TV on the day promised. The shipper was willing to unpack and set it up however I elected to do that myself. It was actually very easy. Basically plug it in attach the cable and sit back and watch. The controls on the remote were intuitive. The concern about the white buttons is not really a concern.
    Worst TV I've ever owned Within a week or two I noticed a problem with the TV. Vertical lines/distortion appeared and then were gone. Did not last long and very intermittent. Then parts of the screen would fade out to 50% of brightness again nothing consistent. Cold mornings the TV would always act up either vertical lines or parts of the screen faded out. I called for service and they told me if it didn't act up while they were there It would cost me a service call close to $100. I held off. Now the TV is 15 months old out of warranty and has gotten to the point we can't watch it. I have called for service and it will cost me a lot I bet. I will let you know. I will however never buy another Samsung product from Amazon. The Touch of Red never worked and it just does not feel like a quality product. I am afraid that I will have to literally throw this thing away and buy another TV. Very disappointed.
    Samsung poor quality I would have never thought that Samsung would have issues. My 46 LN46A550 just got repaired. It is 20 months old. Samsung was/is using lower voltage capacitors than is required on their boards. Mine had 10 volt ones in a 12 volt spot. Samsung has a list of all of the model numbers with this issue. The repair man came over and wanted to flip my TV on the screen face down on my couch. My wife was home and asked him what he was doing. He said that it was safe because it was a leather couch. My wife insisted that he wait until she put a blanket down. He seemed annoyed. Samsung has poor quality control lately but they did honor this problem. It is a one time fix. If it were something else broken they would have charged me hundreds of dollars to fix it. At a minimum you would have to pay for the diagnostic on it even if the repair was too much for your pocket.

    truly excellent tv Ihelps to be computer savy in order to understand and navigate through the steps in the user manual. The TV was delivered three days after I ordered it by Pilot Freight Services. I was very pleased with the manner the box was secured in the truck. The driver helped me carry the box inside the house but said he wasn't allowed to unpack for inspection. As the TV weighs only 33 lbs I could do it by myself. I have never had any problems of any kind. So If it ain't broke don't fix it We live in the country 20 miles away from the nearest farm and our house is surrounded other buildings. I replaced the old roof antenna with a new one and a twin lead with a coaxil cable. The TV picture is beyond our wildest expectations and the sound is superior to our old analogue TV. We receive over thirty stations. We watch the news from our dinner table 19 ft away and all other times we watch from 11 ft away. We wouldn't want a larger size screen. The viewing angle is great. Besides watching VCR tapes we don't use the other available features and therefore cannot comment on those.
    Anywhere but 6th AVE i have a problem buying ANYTHING from 6th ave after my last experience i bought a TV from them and received it fully packaged and not working sending the tv back was an issue for me as i do not live in the us so i decided to try to fix it on my own as 6th ave offered no help they told me tvs this size have to be dealt with the manufacturer.. upon taking the tv to be fixed we realized the inside of the tv had been through war as if they sold me a used or refurbished tv . never the less i will never support this website again thats my experience with them ive bought several things from amazon and anytime there is a problem they would see to it immediately thank you for that amazon but 6th ave POOR POOR POOR .
    Best I have owned Granted I ordered the TV in the winter time and live in the Midwest. I was expecting it to be delayed as the many blizzards that rip through this area during this time of the year. What I was not expecting was making all the calls I did just to track my TV down!! Let alone I find out it had been deferred several times to other locations all over and around the city I live in. My town is not that small around 90000 people and shipping shouldn't have been as frustrating as it was. And after all my aggravations I did receive my television perfectly intact just 2 weeks later than I anticipated. If you must pay a bit more and have UPS ship it I would highly recommend doing that. The money you save is not worth the hassle that this shipper caused me. This TV is stunning. It has a great picture and look to the screen quality. The ToC gives a nice asthetic feel to it and I love how my PS3 games and Bluray movies appear on the television. I definitely recommend the TV to anyone looking for a nice relatively large flat screen for a reasonable price. However if the shipper is Pilot Air or through this sight specifically I DO NOT recommend ordering it.

    Very Disapointed Read this before you buy.I bought this TV on January 31 2010 as a second set to place in our den. It has gotten very little use about 2 hours a week. While it is a very nice looking piece of equipment and had a very good quality picture at first It is no longer working. I have made three service calls to 1 800 Samsung.* The first time I was told I would receive a call back to schedule service technician to come out to have a look at it. Two days later when I came home from work there was a message to call back. I did so the next day and was told our service request was cancelled because we could not be reached.* I called Samsung again they opened a new service request. I was later called to schedule an appointment for the coming Monday 6/14. When I called on Friday to make sure they are coming I was told that our Service Request had again been cancelled because the serial number did not match. After confirming numbers the rep. on the phone told me that they had written down a Q instead of a G. While this could have been an error on my part I would have expected a call instead of them cancelling the service request.* The third time was a charm I scheduled something and a very nice technician came out to look at it.
