Supposed to be Refurbished but Lines All across Screen, Can't Even Watch, So I bought this refurbished from BTV AMERICA INC and the horizontal lines across the screen were so bad I couldn't do the set up menu. I don't believe that it was in fact refurbished. The lines come and go but I also get a double picture where the image ont he screen appears twice, once on each side of the screen. Currently trying to get Toshiba to recognize the warranty which I received with the TV. You get 90 days with a refurbished item but they have it in their system registered to the original owner so this is posing a problem. They won't send anyone to look at it until they confirm my warranty. How they are going to do that I do not know.
Superb quality, performance and price!, Excellent choice for serious videophile looking for that just right fit! My six year old 27 inch CRT was the heaviest set my bedroom wall mount could safely hold and since getting into HD with my initial 60 inch Sony for the living room, I longed for the same 1080p quality in my room. The Toshiba had a mounting bracket that was a perfect template for marking drill holes in my old wall mount's resting plate, so with little work I could maintain the perfect height for supine viewing. HDMI connection made hook up simple, as did optical audio out from the TV to my non-HDMI older receiver for bigger audio.
Great purchase, This Toshiba 37 inch TV is fabulous. Definitely the best 37 inch model available and the sound quality is just fine.
If you're looking for a 37 inch LCD, look no further.
Toshiba TV, This is my second Toshiba TV purchase within the last year, the first for the bedroom, and this larger model for the family room. It was on the basis of my very good experience with the first one that I decided to do the 37-inch in Toshiba as well. They really make an excellent product. You will not be disappointed.
Review Of Toshiba 37E200U 37 inch TV 1080 LCD HDTV, I am very happy and impress with this Tv. It was a good buy, it works well and has an excellent colour. The transaction was very good and professional. I would shop with seller again.
Nice while it lasted-which wasn't long enough!, I bought a similar Toshiba 37" lcd tv in Sept. of 2009. I did not buy the extended warranty because I had always heard that Toshiba was a great brand (and I had a Toshiba tube tv before which worked for years) & thought it would be a waste of money. My bad! It was great until this week when the screen started going black. I called Toshiba & they gave me names of authorized repair joints. They really didnt seem to care that I had barely gotten 2 years out of this tv. I asked if this was a recurring problem & they said no (of course). Took it to the repair shop & was told the main board & power supply were both bad & it would cost $400 to fix (only paid $600 for the tv). Called Toshiba back to express my great disapointment in the quality of the tv & was told that ALL lcd tv's are very complex & there is no guaranteed life on any brand. I told the guy then I would rather pay $350 for another brand that may or may not last over 2 years instead of $600 for a Toshiba. Better to spend $350 every couple of years than $600. I did start looking for any other reports like mine & there were ALOT.
not bad for used, So far everything is good . it is a used product so hopefully I won't be made a liar after the first year. It's just enough of what I was looking for. Plenty big enough screen, sound is clear, easy to operate. Very happy.
Toshiba 37"1080P, I love the TV, and It made a big hit having a black box with my wife. The TV blends in well with out TV cabinet, and our wall colors. Very impressed but with two Hondas & a Toshiba laptop, it does not suprise me about the Japaneese quality, and they have always raised that bar to a new high.
Picture went out - no local repair shop. Toshiba no help., Bought a Toshiba 37" Regza through Amazon in October 2008 for $750.00 along with 2 year warranty. Picture went out in January of 2011, 3 months out of warranty. Toshiba says they cannot repair - referred me to a repair shop 75 miles away. Called local Geek Squad who checked it out and said main computer board had to be replaced at a cost of $500+ including labor - and that is if they can get the part from Toshiba. At today's prices I can get a new Vizio for less than that so I'm stuck with a beautiful looking Toshiba television that doesn't work and is too expensive to fix. Whatever happened to quality workmanship? I still have a 30 year old Sony Trinitron from my college days that works fine!! I won't buy another Toshiba product.
Screen quality, I am very unhappy with the blank screen of this unit. The left side is gray, the middle is dark gray and the right top side has a big light flair coming in from the corner and the bottom right corner has the same light flair, this very annoying when you view it at the 3/4 ratio with defective black on the left and especially right side. The picture quality is acceptable to me, I have it in my bedroom so I never turned up the sound to high so I have no problem with the sound.
