Toshiba LCD 40 1080 HD After reading the reviews I knew the sound quality would not be great so I purchased an inexpensive sound bar which made the sound quality just fine.TV was easy to set up and connect to cable DVD and WII.Picture was great for first three weeks but now I am getting some pixelating on a couple of the channels.Waiting to hear back from company about this issue.
Poor sound quality I was excited when I ordered this television since I was replacing a 36 tube Toshiba with a 1080p LCD. However I was disappointed with it. The sound on this TV was terrible and after trying to adjust it many ways I decided to return the TV. The only way I could watch with any satisfaction was through a sound system and that to me was just too much effort. Picture was ok but the horrible sound system was a bit too much to overlook.
I love it! I was hesitant to purchase this tv because of all the negative reviews about the volume. I took a dive and I am very satisfied. It may be a little quieter than other tv's but I am listening to it as I type at a comfortable 8 out of a 100. Maybe it could have more bass but other than that I can deal with it for the money.
Great picture for the price but there is a tradeoff You can't argue with the picture for the price. There are very few models offering 1080 resolution on a 40 inch screen for right around $400. This TV is easy to set up and the picture is terrific. The only significant drawback is the audio. I had to max the bass and completely take out the treble then crank the volume all the way just to make it passable.Why they couldn't include an analog audio output is beyond me. I didn't intend to have to upgrade my entire home entertainment system just to buy a new TV. So now I'll have to drop anywhere from $40 to $100 for a digital to analog converter for my stereo or a basic sound bar just so I can get decent audio. Suddenly the terrific price for the TV looks more like a soso price.If you already have optical digital audio equipment then this is not a concern to you in which case I heartily recommend this TV for the video. If you still have an analog home audio system and you don't plan to upgrade soon consider the extra cost you'll need to enjoy this TV with your stereo or powered speakers.
Tv Great TV for the price. I bought it to replace in my dew and it works great. I love the picture and quality of sound.
Great TV. Great Price. This TV really was a great price for us. We got it as a floor model last one available and was the right place to replace a tube TV. The picture quality is definitely not on par with lets say a Vizio but you cannot beat the price and it does what it supposed to dobe a television. We have had difficulties with connecting various devices like a DVD player but such is life. There are options to set the size of the screen image and we have played with many of the options and really no option is really perfect.Overall we are happy. It is a lot better than a tube TV which is what we had before.
AMAZING It is an amazing TV the sound is good the picture is better and even the customer service for it was good.
Excellent performance inadequate instructions If a specialist installs this TV at your home and connects it appropriately to a received or a HT system you'll be very pleased with its excellent performance. Otherwise you'll be pleased with the picture but not very pleased with the sound you need someone who knows what they' re doing in order to connect it properly. If the picture was just one tick better it could compete with much more expensive sets.
Toshiba is king of the low price TV's I have a Sony 40 LCD Model KDL40EX500 that I bought in Febuary for $899.00 playing side by side with my $399.00 Toshiba and much to my surprise my Toshiba has a better picture and equal sound dynamics to my Sony!!! Very Very pleased with this purchase. I am going to purchase another Toshibia 40E210U to place next to my other Toshibia 40E210U and move my Sony to my office.
